Pipsuite Deactivations

Post by admin »

Not a classic as such but I've now released the 'Deactivation of Users' thread (Oct 2003 to Sep 2004) from the Pipsuite King's Palace:

Interesting reading, makes the Durno/Mark R stuff look quite tame by comparison!

At least there seem to be a lot less trolls and troublemakers these days (maybe because they were nearly all the same person and he got bored?) Am I correct in my understanding of the last page, that Nadsaq who everyone was campaigning to reinstate, turned out to be just another alter-ego of our serial troll?

Are you sure that thread was from the Kings Palace ? I doubt it. Very long thread for one I cant remember adding to as I recall, though after reading I am wondering where kopit or RobD went.... :?

Above topic is from 'FISO News' forum which was open to everyone.

There is a separate thread on 'Deactivated Users' in The King's Palace which has 13 replies. Not sure if Admin will publish contents?

And 'kopit' now posts under another name.

I remember someone mentioning Dr. Nadsaq resurfacing at another FF site...

One interesting thing, if you call up the member list on this forum, the first page or so of names (after admin) appears to be all the deactivated users.

Kudos to admin on the moderation of deactivation. All of us have the potential to get heated, and if the prospect of a total ban were in place we might all simply "discuss" the weather. MarkR in a pain in the arse way, granted, simply voiced our feelings over the anoying Durno and whilst his partial deactivation was warranted, I ll welcome him back with open arms.

It seemed like it was a lot more fun in the old days,it reminds me a little bit of big brother all the loud mouths get voted out, but they were always the most fun people to watch.

They were all very wearing actually. The Man U v Arsenal stuff was just dull, repetitive and never went anywhere.

So when's Durno going to re-appear under an alter-ego then (with the emphasis on 'ego')?

I have a suspicion that he already has

I've been Silent bob since pipsuite. I thought it was hilarious, especially since php allowed an avatar. Admin keeps banning him however, lol. No point keeping it a secret anymore.
