edit: I thought it was the BBC doc about the record shop in the North East that was on recently. Please accept my apologies, Johnny Marr.

Not Status Quo fan from the "Sound it out" film. Not Johnny Marr either.
Suppose it could be a competition but I have met a few FISO members in my time so they can't guess.
I am sure I saw a Karrde in there somewhere as well.

Just discovered as a consequence of HMV closing 81 of its stores, free music magazine The Fly stopped publishing in March after its circulation had halved. HMV was the mags main distributer.
It was the most read in the sector in the UK, and was great for live music & album reviews. Their album of the month was always worth taking a look at.
A real shame.

Is that the sector of 'Free Music Magazines'?
I find it very hard to believe it was read more than NME, Q, Mojo etc
I've never heard of it either BTW.

Big around north London, it started life as a flyer for The Barfly in Camden Town, all the independent record shops would carry it, Rough Trade among others.
But with HMV it spread all the UK, circulation of over 100k.
Many think the NME's days are numbered, with a circulation of around 20k.
