Picked up a bottle of Laphroaig Select for £25 at Tesco's today. No idea as to whether that's a bargain but at least I know it will be nice. :D

Let us know. I've always been tempted but not gone for it.

Been a distinct lack of Quarter Cask on offer in recent months/years

It's like Quarter Cask would be if you added water but possibly a bit more fruity and peppery.

In my opinion pay the extra.

You've got about 90 minutes maximum if you want a Glenmorangie for £24.

If you've fancied trying a Distillers Edition a couple have been discounted I see this morning:

Distillers Editions

Talisker 42.00
https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/nbn/Whisky-T ... AZQA68WARX

Lagavulin 55.00
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00 ... ROKL5A1OLE

I saw Laphroaig 10 at 25.00 too.

There may be other offers out there. Had a quick look but don't know the quick way to find the best discounts.

Ordered a couple of bottles from Amazon but I'll be reluctant to do so again. Each time I have had to stay in for delivery as they wont put the bottle in a safe place or leave with a neighbour. I also had to produce ID to prove that I was over 18.

OK the last one was a fib.

Yes. UPS deliver some of mine and they need a signature as it's booze. Depends on the courier, DHL for instance don't care about the signature too much.

New core expression of Ardbeg.
Ardbeg has today announced the launch of its first new addition to its core range of single malt Scotch whiskies in over a decade.
Ardbeg An Oa (46.6% ABV) is a no age statement bottling, which has been produced using whiskies that were originally matured in Pedro Ximénes, virgin oak and ex-bourbon barrels, before being married together in a specially created French oak vat.

True. RRP of 49, someone will sell it for less.

I hardly ever pay full price for Whisky tbh. Plenty of cheap deals from Amazon etc before Father's Day & Chrimbo, so I stock up then.

Had ASDA's own Islay last night. I'd swear it was a young Laphroaig. Worth a check - sweet & smokey - yum!

Quite a few of the Supermarket own malts get a good write-up, I haven't tried many to be honest. Anyone recommenend a cheapie?

For my taste, Clynelish is rather under-rated. You can pick up a 20yo - ish independent bottling for less than 50 quid - yum.
