I can't believe that you're not brilliant at something...where's your pride man...

Two ways round that...

1. You need to move the cursor to the extreme edge of the lane. This allows the spin to move across the lane.

2. You're rolling you wrist when you deliver the ball (ie like turning a door handle). A limp wrist = spin. Firm wrist = strike.

You're not playing it like lawn bowls, are you YoD? Having watched some video clips of it, you need to time when you let go of the button - is that critical? Same as in real life - if you let go late and the ball goes upwards first... perhaps?

No point in being brilliant at letting go if it is going straight into the gutter!

My Wii has arrived and is sitting at home waiting for me to unpack 8-) However, I am out tonight and away this weekend.... typical! Mind you, doofyman, it sounds as though I need some fitness training before setting it up!

That's good to know. I had to move fast on it as they sell out so quickly, but 90% of the reviews I read on the 3 games I have were positive. Will be interesting to see how Mario Strikers Charged works online.

Can anyone recommend a good remote charger? Seem to be a few around.

In case anyone is still hunting for a Wii without being ripped off, they are back in stock at Argos for £179.97 with Wii Sports.

Playing a bit of FIFA Online, not that impressed.
Especially as after 1 game my wireless seems to need reseting.

But the remote/nunchuck doesn't lend itself to footie IMO

Got my power strikes up to 609 and was chuffed - No cheats used. Then saw the high score.

I think I will pass on that one now.

My records to target are

All the golf ones - IMPROVED TARGET PRACTICE TO 750 today

Bowling - Spares

Baseball - 1604. (Have 8 for 1390 so it is possible)

RUBBISH AT EVERYTHING ELSE

Well, as usual I am as crap at Wii games as I am everything else in the world... so I won't be posting any scores! (ye)

As a side note, Super Paper Mario is a pretty neat little game, once you get past the seemingly never-ending little cutie speech bubbles which must go on for 20 mins when you first play the game.

Mario Strikers Charged is very good IMHO, and I managed to get my Wii online yesterday, so I can see how crap I am at that compared to everyone else in the world. Didn't like WarioWare: Smooth Moves at all, but I would imagine it is a decent game with friends around.

If anyone is looking for a cheap, top quality game can I point you in the direction of .....

Link's Crossbow Challenge - £19.99 with a free Wii Zapper

Great fun while it lasts, and also great for 'family / friend' battles for high scores. Will post some scores at some stage.

I'm now playing Super Mario Galaxy when I get some spare time, I've got 36 stars so far. It's a good game but not nearly as engrossing as Zelda was last year.

How many others have Wii Play, I'll post some scores from that soon as well as I rarely play Wii Sports these days.
