Link's Crossbow Challenge - £19.99 with a free Wii Zapper
Great fun while it lasts, and also great for 'family / friend' battles for high scores. Will post some scores at some stage.
I'm now playing Super Mario Galaxy when I get some spare time, I've got 36 stars so far. It's a good game but not nearly as engrossing as Zelda was last year.
How many others have Wii Play, I'll post some scores from that soon as well as I rarely play Wii Sports these days.
ghost squad any good? how accurate is the remote?

I have mine ordered through play so expect it soon (Darts). So what you are telling me is that if you are one of the normal people that doesnt suddenly think that you ahve a 37 inch plus screent hat you have to shove it 7 foot 6 off the floor then you cant play the darts standing up - Excellent - nOt.
Only saving grace is that being a shorty I may be able to get away with standing!

Well, my little 19 incher is probably a bit lower down than most normal TVs, and I do have the sensor bar on the TV stand rather than on the TV, but I found it less that enjoyable when playing it standing up - especially if you are playing on your own and you have to stand their like a lemon waiting for the other chap to hit 180!
It just feels better "throwing" the control at the telly rather than downwards - something that only works for me when sitting down. As for the game itself, not as good as I had hoped, but like most Wii games, much better with more people around, rather than just playing with yourself.

Re: Nintendo Wii
looking into getting one for Christmas - baffled by the options!
white/ black
Remote/remote plus/nunchuks/steering wheel
sports/sports resort/wii fit
eh?
Console with Mario Cart & wheel & Remote+ & Nunchuk for £100 looks ok
what else do I need? family games (4 of us) but mostly for my 7yo daughter.

Re: Nintendo Wii
I'd say at least one more remote and the two Wii sports games... So much more fun when you can beat your kids at golf and tennis in real time...

Re: Nintendo Wii
if she is into platform games the the Mario Galaxy games are really good. I think the first one was voted best game of the year in 2009/ or 10. My boys loved them.

Re: Nintendo Wii
Nothing on this thread for 3 years! I just bought a Nintendo Wii for my sons bedroom purely to run Netflix off! £30 seemed a bargain. Apparently it plays games too!!

plummeted - was thinking of getting one too - I believe the online functionality stops soon (not netflix but the ability to play online) - I think.

Re: Nintendo Wii
I am getting one in two weeks time when Mario kart 8 comes out. Always been a fan a Mario kart , it looks so good in HD and 60 frames per second. Also you get another free game with Mario kart so that has sold me on wii u. While ps4 and xbox1 are struggling with 1080p and 60 frames per second. with games like watch dogs . but it coming on wii u toobspittles wrote:Got a Wii U ten days ago and it's been used every evening.
