A bit premature. He hasn't signed yet.
hmmm it hasn't indeed yet been confirmed, but my season ticket holder mate reckons this has been in the pipeline a few weeks.

Maybe Hughes will ease him in, as Bos must be a tad rusty?

From official QPR twitter account. So I think it's almost a done deal, only problem - I guess you have to sign players before some kind of a deadline for them to be available to play first gameweek?

That would mean reading the posts where I embarrassingly thought Fabio could play left or right

QPR summer signings:

Samba Diakite (Nancy)
Fabio da Silva (Manchester United)
Robert Green (West Ham United)
Junior Hoilett (Blackburn)
Andrew Johnson (Fulham)
Ryan Nelsen (Tottenham Hotspur)
Park Ji-Sung (Manchester United)
Jose Bosingwa (Chelsea)

I thought last August was good. I loved Warnock, but it is clear with that list that without the change to Sparky, we would never have attracted any of those.

Yeah, many good signings. Only - do you think, as a supporter, it's good that team changes their squad so much? I mean, only Taarabt, I think, is left in the starting lineup compared to the squad which won Championship in 2010/2011. I think that influences team's ''togetherness'', how it ''sticks together''. I mean , they all are really good individual players, but they haven't played all together so much before, it takes some time to make team as one. At least I think so, but anyway , that's just my opinion.

What's also interesting as I solely put it down to money, especially the holiest one.... That was my "outsiders" view of things...

Not really the case, but then any team can't expect to come up and be successful with the same squad who get them into the Prem in the first place. Shaun Derry, Jamie Mackie, Clint Hill along with Taarabt are still there and key to the team. And Hughes seems to be having a good look at a few of the fringe players who were there last season and before, like Ehmer and Ephraim. Good mix I think.

Maybe, maybe not. I don't know what kind of salaries they are being offered, but Hughes played at Chelsea, Man Utd, Barcelona. Warnock played at.... I would like to think it isn't solely down to money, but even if it is, these players would have had other choices, with similar money on offer, but Sparky would be key in them coming.

Well, since there's no shortage of players in midfield and the situation for the RB post is more complicated now - even if not for GW1 - I think the appeal of Fabio @4.5m with an enthusiastic attack attitudeis somewhat lessened in the long run. If Bosingwa will start playing asap and threaten Fabio's play time, this is just another swap to consider at the not too distant future. It is almost akin to the Jenkinson situation at Arsenal. A great place for QPR to be in though less fun for FPL managers.

Well after a slightly less impressive start against Swansea compared to the one against Bolton last season, if anyone is in the mood for some humour, read this review from the excellently, superbly fantastic LoftForWords. Particularly funny is the paragraph or two on Rob Green.

Joking aside, whatever I think of Sparky, I have faith that he knows his stuff, and he will know what went wrong and it will get put right, but it could take a bit of time. I would start with playing Cerny, though.

Again QPR were masters of their own downfall with Nedum Onuoha playing a suicidal high pass from the right back area into the heart of the Swansea attack on the edge of the QPR penalty area. The experts talk about the best players having a picture in their mind before they hit a shot or play a pass – Onuoha is clearly more of a Tracey Emin than Pablo Picasso in the visualisation department.

Good signing if it happens. Been guaranteed first team action if he signs. Probably take Clint Hill's place or may even Onohua will drop out.

He may be getting on a bit but another great move if it happens. That makes 4 Champions League winners by my reckoning.

Difficult to tell with loan deals involved, but I genuinely have no worry about that. Tony Fernandez is not going to leave the club in debt, no matter how long he stays around for. Interesting times, but I am not worried that we will do a Portsmouth or Leeds.

True J, although I thought that about Villa but after shelling out ridiculous wages just to attract players we were in serious trouble. Only now with Lambert are we attempting to put that right and QPR have a lot of similarities with Villa. Green (Given) Bosingwa (Hutton) SWP (N'Zogbia) Zamora (Heskey) etc will be on a fair whack and for what they'll offer the club (very little) its a lot of money to be shelling out!

Fingers crossed for you, but I'd be at least a little bit worried.

Bosingwa Carvalho Dawson Fabio as a back 4 (unless Fabio plays right mid as Footy66 said could happen  )

Impressive line up for you Jon.

Tricky to really know what the long term plans are. We keep hearing about "the project" which at first attracted Hughes, and now just about every player - most recently Bosingwa - are saying how impressed they are with "the project" that is being put into place and that is why they have signed (not the cash  )

If you ask my honest opinion, I believe that Tony Fernandes is planning on getting QPR to break into the European places within the next few years. I really don't know how feasible that will be, but I rate these signings to get us on that road, even though, with the possible exception of Dawson, they are players on their way down rather than on their way up. When we are on the right road you can attract more signings, better crowds (new stadium obviously) but then the next stage of attracting really massive names at the top of their careers is a much bigger step when you are not a big four team.

It is a worry of course, but I know I would rather be here now than where we were 5 years ago, and unfortunately there is only one way to get success in the Prem these days - buy it.
