New manager, new policy of actually being arsed to give out some team news once in a blue moon? Maybe! The official site has this from yesterday:
Roy Hodgson delivered some encouraging news from the Training Ground on Thursday afternoon regarding the fitness of several key players, including a return to First Team training for Brian McBride. "The injury situation is improving," revealed Hodgson. "We’re still being very careful with Brian McBride but he has trained once with the First Team this week.

"Philippe Christanval has trained every day this week and Jimmy Bullard has played in a Reserve match and trained in sessions. Aaron Hughes also trained today (Thursday) but Ian Pearce and Elliot Omozusi still have problems, but certainly the situation is brighter today than it was a while ago. We also have the problem with Hameur Bouazza who dislocated his shoulder in our last game so we have to be careful with him although it’s not as serious this time round."

Jimmy Bullard played 90 minutes in Fulham's Reserve team victory over Arsenal on Monday night and Hodgson revealed the midfielder is ahead of schedule and desperate to return to First Team action. "Jimmy’s desperate to get back into First Team action. We have to be careful because the competitive side of the game is something you don’t get such a good feeling for in training sessions. We have to be sure his knee is going to stand up to the pressure of tough tackling and being tackled when you are off balance. According to our Medical Department and Sports Science Department he is running ahead of schedule rather than behind and they will advise us to be cautious. Jimmy is not a cautious guy and I’m certain that if I said to him ‘I need you to play on Saturday,’ he’d be the first one changed and out. He’s moving on very well."

The Fulham official site:
The Whites will be without the suspended Paul Konchesky for the match, as well as the injured Ian Pearce, Elliot Omozusi, Kasey Keller and Hameur Bouazza, whilst Philippe Christanval, Lee Cook and Brian McBride are also too short of match fitness, despite returning to training recently. New signing Brede Hangeland will not be eligible to play having completed his transfer after the registration deadline, but the Manager had more positive words to say about the progress of one Jimmy Bullard. “With every week that goes by and every training session, it seems to me that he’s getting stronger, more confident and able to reproduce the form that meant Fulham bought him in the first place,” he said.

Best I can find for you is BBC match news:
New Fulham signings Leon Andreasen and Brede Hangeland go straight into the squad and the latter could start in place of suspended Dejan Stefanovic. Jimmy Bullard may get his first league start since recovering from surgery.

So, now that Bullard and McBride are back, who is likely to drop out? I'm thinking Dempsey's place will be under threat?

Incredible! Team news posted on the official site:
During Friday’s press conference Roy Hodgson revealed he has a fully fit squad to choose from for Saturday’s clash and the manager is clearly relishing the opportunity to take on the current Premier League Champions at the Cottage. “We’ve got virtually everyone fit and available for selection which is quite unusual. We had a very strong Reserve Team during the week because we thought quite a few people needed a game. Luckily there was nothing to report from that so I have virtually a full squad to choose from."
Oh sorry, excuse me for getting your hopes up there. No specifics at all. They really are a secretive lot down at the Cottage. Maybe MI6 are responsible for the blackout?

Well b****r me! Real team news and it's from the official site!!!! I think I need to go and lie down:
During his pre-match press conference Roy Hodgson revealed he has few injury worries ahead of Saturday's game and explained why the Club's fans will have to wait a little longer to see Jari Litmanen's debut for the Whites.

"Leon Andresen returns from suspension and once again we’ve got remarkably few injury problems. Alexey Smertin has a slight muscle problem. It’s nothing too serious but it’s likely to keep him out of the game this weekend.

"Jari Litmanen has a slight problem with the inside of his thigh which needs to be sorted out by the insoles he wears in his boots to correct his ankle. That will be sorted out over the weekend or the early part of next week. Jari’s had Achilles and ankle operations and he needs specific insoles in his boots to correct a certain movement in hi [sic] ankles. If it doesn’t get corrected he gets muscle strains and that’s what’s happened. He has a muscle strain on the inside of his thigh which has come about by the fact that the new insoles that he thought were going to work didn’t and he has to go back to Finland. The guy over there knows the entire background to Jari’s operations.

After that aberration last week, it's back to business as usual. So here's something from the offical Premier League site
Struggling Fulham have Alexei Smertin available again. Smertin missed last weekend's draw at Blackburn Rovers and it was initially thought he might be out for two weeks but he has recovered from his back strain.

Philippe Christanval and Jari Litmanen are still out with muscle problems, however. Kasey Keller looks certain to be preferred to Antti Niemi in goal again after starting the Blackburn match.

The official site:
Jari Litmanen is back training with Fulham’s First Team at Motspur Park, and whilst the Finn may lack match fitness, Roy Hodgson believes he may still play a crucial role in Fulham’s fight for survival.

Back to the norm, here's EPL official site:
Roy Hodgson has no fresh injury worries ahead of the trip to St James' Park. Hodgson is likely to remain loyal to the strikeforce of Eddie Johnson and Brian McBride as they try to win their first away match for 18 months. Goalkeeper Kasey Keller is set to continue in goal ahead of Ricardo Batista.

The official site:
One player who has yet to feature is Jari Litmanen. The Finnish forward played for the Reserves against Spurs earlier this week and despite his injury frustrations, is now ready to compete for a place on the bench amongst a healthy looking squad.

“Jari is ready for the bench but my problem is quite a few players are ready for the bench. He played very well in the Reserves this week which is good. He’s training well and he’s a very good player to have around."

The official site has an intriguing new format, reporting team news for the weekend. I can't really quote it so you'll just have to follow the link.
