Manchester United
Id like to select some Man United defensive cover but Jose is doing an excellent job in putting me off. I’ve now heard three interviews were he has pretty much attacked all his players on a personal level with the exception of Sanchez and Mata. A player motivation course or two may should be part of his own development plan for the year!!!
Has anyone else been put off? I don’t believe many modern players really work for the team/manager these days but I don’t expect many United players to be digging out for their boss this year.....

Re: Manchester United
Im never quite sure how much of it is purely for show.
He could be going in to the dressing room and rolling around on the floor laughing with them for all we know.
His interview from last night is spectacular though.
The only thing that has been putting me off their defenders is the unknown.
Never quite sure who is safe.
If pressed i would say Valencia - Bailly - Smalling - Shaw for their opener against Leicester.
Do i expect that quartet to still be playing as a four by game 4 or 5? I can't say that id wager much money on it.

Re: Manchester United
The advantage of United players is that you get to see team news before settling on your initial team. Like you say how long that line up lasts who knows!

Re: Manchester United
I'd just hold tight for 12 days. The early transfer deadline for incomings is the fantasy manager's friend, especially in this case. Right now only Ddg is a banker. Valencia has been ruled out of the Leicester game.

Re: Manchester United
I had assumed Valencia (subject to injury) - Smailing - Bailey - Young (rather than Shaw). Team news on Friday is a big plus but it’s a shame you don’t get a preview of effort levels too!
Jose has questioned most of players commitment publicly in different ways. I could be wrong but I wouldn’t have thought that would be something that the players would be cool with as part of Jose’s “games”. Who knows.....
I might take De Gea as cover and having a watch brief on the rest.....

Re: Manchester United
Is it confirmed Valencia is definitely missing the Leicester game?

Re: Manchester United
Ashley Young asked to come back early to possibly play right back vs Leicester
EDIT: this contains the line that Valencia is ruled out of the first game.

Re: Manchester United
Is he really though? Or is it that Jose has unrealistic standards?

Re: Manchester United
No idea. Brings me back to my original point though. How can all that nonesense chat have a positive effect on the team. In previous roles he has held I’ve just about seen the method in his madness - not now though.Tacalabala wrote: ↑29 Jul 2018, 20:14 Is he really though? Or is it that Jose has unrealistic standards?
I’ve decided to tred carefully with Man U coverage to start.

Re: Manchester United
I've already taken Valencia out just in case.
