Nice one. Taylor is a good option then? With good attacking potential?

Taylor is slightly more defensive than Ben Davies but a good crosser of the ball and I suspect Garry Monk will be encouraging him to push forward more to feed Bony and Gomis.

Would any Swansea fans care to comment on how secure Neil Taylor's place is? I gather he was given the runaround by Januzaj on Saturday and was subbed off early. He was on a booking though. Would you still expect him to start on Saturday?

Hey guys been a big Swans fan for a while now so when I remember I will post anything I read about them. Will post predicted starting eleven soon.

Been linked with the Celtic CB again today - as much as I'd love it - can't see it happening

Okay so our likely starting eleven against Chelsea this week after pre-season and everything

4-2-3-1 is likely to continue

-------------Fabianski-----------
Taylor--Williams--Fernandez-Naughton
------------Cork--Ki------------
-----Ayew----Gylfi-----Montero
-------------Gomis------------

Subs; Nordfeldt, Tabanou, Shelvey, Rangel, Amat/Bartley, Emnes/Dyer, Eder

- Ki is a lock to start in one of the deeper midfield spots. I loved Corks work last year, but Shelvey finished the season very well. Monk might go with Ki/Shelvey partnership but against Chelsea I'd prefer the more solid Cork.

- Montero and Routledge will battle it out for that wing spot. Montero is probably ahead of Routledge for now but they'll rotate through the season.

- LB is Taylor's to lose I think but it's great we now have Tabanou there if he gets injured or loses form.

- Eder will be Gomis back up similar to how Gomis was Bonys last year.

- Amat is in some doubt.

- Fernandez finished the season fantastic my so is a lock to partner Ashley.

Any other questions, fire away.

Cheers for that but what are the chances of Ayew (or Shelvey?) playing in the hole instead of Sig?

This weekend the chances are high Murf. My feeling is Siggy won't start. he has been sluggish pre season and Shelvey is fit as a flea now. Ayew will definitely start too.

Basically, I've got no idea but it is definitely a chance.

Siggy has had a pretty poor pre-season and conversely it seems like the penny might've finally dropped with Shelvey.

The fans are starting to get a bit frustrated with Gylfi but he was so important to our team last year.

I still think he'll start. However - ask another 10 jacks, and the decision would probably be split.

I wouldn't be starting with Siggy or Shelvey in FPL this year due to likely rotation.

I think Ki is Swans best option through the middle.

EDIT -

Actually I've had a bit of a look and I don't think Ki is a great option either.

Surely can't score as many goals as he did last season?

As a Swan - I hope he does, but he'll probably get around half that that amount.

Cheers Swans.

Will be a shame if Ki doesn't do much as, in TFF, I never tire of the Ki Contribution gag.......

Question

How can you profess to be an 'Expert' on SWANSEA and suggest that their best player, 'Shelvey' wouldn't of made the starting 11 against Chelsea?

I think he was clear it wasn't a clear cut decision.

Being an expert at this is about reading the manager's mind when selecting teams and ignoring your own preferences and prejudices.

lol - not going to justify sleuths comment with a thoughtful response considering I made it fairly clear those central positions are in contention.

Be interesting to see how we line up this week.

If Ki is fit then maybe Cork and Ki in the deeper pivots with Shelvey operating in the more advanced position? Gylfi was pretty quiet and it seems Jonjo has taken his role at dead balls as well.

I'd like to see Sig continue to start but unsure how Monk views it.

He will rest Ki this weekend given his injury concern earlier this week so expect him to play Cork, Shelvey and Siggurddsson from the off with Montero and Ayew wide supporting Gomis.

I wish every team had a line-up write up as excellent as Les-Gom. Oh and congratulations on constructing a sentence with the words "Sleuth" and "thoughtful" in.

Yep spot on and Shelvey/Ayew/Montero/Gomis all look nailed on and decent fantasy options moving forward. *

Been a great start to the season for Swansea and its a decent run after this week.

* INBEFORE sleuth making a comment after the fact after GW3

Any Swans observers got any ideas. Just checked and September for 3 seasons now has been shocking for those riding the White Swan.
Lack of goals again, Gomis is doing just that, magical Montero has lost his sombrero and Ayew, yes you, judging from his graph yesterday is nowhere near Gomis in a support role. Que pasa? Has Monk lost the winning habit?

Gomis didn't look at the races yesterday in the snippets I saw and I'd imagine was hauled off at half-time for lack of effort. Why .. No idea. SWANSEA this month look a shadow of the side up till September, bar Shelvey.
