Those three are nailed on. We're after another centre half though so Clark would come under pressure. I wouldn't touch any of our defenders though, we will concede for fun. As shown yesterday against Forest we still can't defend and still can't hold onto a lead.Jagduracell wrote:Thanks for this. Re: Aston Villa General Chat & Starting XI Thread
I'd hope that Richards would give way (shifting over to RB?) as he's looked poor pre season. The Clark/Okore partnership at the back end of last season looked so much stronger than the Clark/Richards we've seen in pre season thus far. Agree that we're desperate for a CB.Midlander wrote:Those three are nailed on. We're after another centre half though so Clark would come under pressure. Amavi was WhoScored's 2nd highest rated player in France last season (behind Zlatan) ... picks up a few cards though

Wondering there are many Villa fans out there wishing they still had Lambert in charge?

I'd be happy with that. We chop and change to much and get nowhere. All teams need stability and managers need time. Lambert was on a hiding to nothing with what he was asked to do. We would be in a better place staring at relegation with him still in charge, or maybe we would already be down but better placed for a fight back.Ashers wrote:Wondering there are many Villa fans out there wishing they still had Lambert in charge?
It all started to go wrong when we got rid of Ron Atkinson.

Or the man who took you to top six in three consecutive seasons more recently...
It all stems from the top though, a disinterested owner spreads negativity whoever's in the dugout and on the pitch. Maybe you should be calling for Deadly Doug not Racist Ron

Why isn't Jack Grealish playing? Didn't Tim Sherwood once say no amount of money could buy him? Sub again today.
