Winners and Losers Top 10

Post by raoul »

I was thinking about who has looked reliable/strong in this crisis and who has been a pile of pants/obnoxious.

Time for a top 10 of each, and if others follow I will compile overall rankings.

Bottom 10 Tossers (best not to mention any fiso members I suspect)

1. Mike Ashley
2. Tim Martin (Wetherspoons)
3. Donald Trump
4. Anyone attending that bbq in Coventry
5. the kids who coughed in the faces of the elderly on purpose
6. the people who vandalised ambulances last week
7. any individual currently in possession of more than 10 toilet rolls per person they are responsible for (likewise on packets of pasta etc)
8. Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs
9. The Canadian Olympics guys for forcing Japan into doing the sensible thing, finally
10. Jeremy Corbyn (is it me, or has he done diddly squat?)

Top 10 Performers - will follow soon, although it is tempting just to write "NHS staff" ten times...

Why the Canadians?

Why the Wetherspoons bloke? I thought he was quite sensible advising his staff to get jobs with Tesco - or do you mean something else?

Giggs and Neville were being helpful weren't they - what have I missed?

A real toss(er) up between Ashley and Trump as to who gets number 1. Were contenders before the virus though....

(I've got a few packs of pasta - but have bought none in the last month so let me off please!)

Yes my thoughts re neville thought he was a good guy, just read that evaluating the panic buying only 3% were idiots the other 97 % brought just a little extra and it is those that caused the just in time logistics system we have to fall over.

He withheld the wages of about 40,000 staff. Has just caved in because he looked like a right tit. Like Ashley, trying to weasle his way out of the law.

Well I wasn't going to "out" you.....

I only have bread and salad at bbq's after a horror or 3. (Men who won't\can't cook in a kitchen thinking they can over an open fire which is harder than with on a hob etc.)

He also decided not to pay suppliers for goods already received.

I thought Giggs and Neville had provided accommodation for NHS staff. Did I miss something?

Yep. Tis just a soulless shop that sells alcohol and microwave food with seats, and just the till clanging for any "atmosphere".

His Brexit motives stank like his "pubs".

OK, I managed to mix up my baddies list with my goodies when I posted.

My apologies to Giggs and Neville!!!

And yes the wages issue was why Mr Wetherspoons got in. I agree with the idea of staff who have lost jobs temporarily helping out the supermarkets. Seems like a sensible shift of resources.

Trump's attitude to this is gaining a fair bit of support in the US who see protecting the Economy as number one. However, the failure to quell the outbreak in several locations is I think beginning to have an effect. There is a bit of a NYC v the rest of the US situation, like London here.

yep, that should do it.

And then they can sue China for the damage to their Economy

I suppose we should thank Trump at this time for providing the light entertainment we are sorely lacking elsewhere, but his attitude and behaviour scares me on a daily basis.
