Just been stood outside the back door in the garden having a smoke, and according to the app on my phone the noise level is hovering around 32.6.

Blissfully quiet (apart from me coughing).

32? Townie!

(Speaking as an ex-acoustician, I can tell you that the mic on your phone is next to useless and noise levels are next to useless without units and context.)

I'll just say it is damn quiet here. Went for half hour walk earlier and didn't pass a soul. Was nearly perfect til a single car passed me 100 yards from my door. Git.

No police sirens? Burglar alarms? Screams for help from mugging victims? Arguing couples? Feral primary school kids?

Must have changed since I lived there.....

It is nice to see the various companies who have change their day-to-day business to make items (clothing, ventilators, etc.) for the push against COVID-19.

Here is a football-related story about Macron (Italian kit manufacturers) who are making personal protective equipment for healthcare workers, operators of civil protection and for law enforcement personnel.

Several "journalists' from the S*n tweeting out today, that the newspaper industry needs your support in the current climate.

Let's hope they've had an emergency meeting and are on the verge of going under. #dontbuythesun

Series 1 is really good once they get past Greece etc for scenery and lifestyle from Baku to Singapore.

2nd is much better from Mexico to very South of Argentina - and 1 more Episode to go I think\hope. Has that been cut etc?

Not exactly Covid related, but it did bring a smile to my face.

Even with all the lockdowns in place round the world, at least there are still some idiots around.
