How long will social distancing measures last for?
What period do you think some form of social distancing measures in the UK will last for until permanently removed and we can all return to the way it was?
Have provided options for the optimists (such as BoJo) and for the doom and gloom armageddon believers.
Most experts seem to think a vaccine won't be available until next year and also unsure to what extent people are immunised once they've had the virus and recovered (or had it and not realised they've had it). Sounds like we need more than 60% to be immune for the herd to help protect the remainder.
No re-voting allowed.

I've gone for 9 months. I reckon that there will an urge to try and allow a bit of mixing and merriment for Christmas.

My plan to deliberately infect the healthiest 60% in controlled conditions would be so much quicker.

Seems like the experts are saying “until a vaccine is available (and working)”, which is “at least 12-18 months”... and so I went for two years.

I read the Imperial College Covid19 Team report and have also gone for 2 years. Mind you if I was the PM I wouldn't tell the public this either.Hogmeister wrote: ↑20 Mar 2020, 20:49 Seems like the experts are saying “until a vaccine is available (and working)”, which is “at least 12-18 months”... and so I went for two years.
The last poll I did was this one viewtopic.php?f=3&t=130968 so hope we don't get a similar under estimate from fiso.

I read that. It was in an article that earlier stated "waiting for a vaccine is not an option".Hogmeister wrote:Seems like the experts are saying “until a vaccine is available (and working)”, which is “at least 12-18 months”... and so I went for two years.
Society will have collapsed long before then.

So half of us thought 6 months or less...murf wrote:I read that. I'm one of the two that thought 2 years.
