I went for a run with my dog earlier and am now contemplating just walking her. I may have to go in disguise or break into a light jog when passing any busybodys' houses......

Coming home from our run earlier there were a couple walking their dog in the opposite direction to us along the road. They kindly moved into a driveway to give us even more room. Unfortunately it was my driveway. Much merriment ensued

In all seriousness, I am amazed there has been no clarity re dog walking. For example under Spain's far more strict lockdown you can take your dog out as often as necessary but you must return as soon as the business is done. That is the only practical solution here for anyone without a garden or numerous housemates.
Just don't take your phone. You can be tracked. I know someone - not me before you speculate - who has been traced by a combination of location tracker on phone and taking cash out at a cashpoint. The person in question received a terse warning text message from the govt.
I'm ok, I don't read texts 😎

All well and good creating vaccines but it's not practical to give everyone a vaccine at the same time, our bodies need a natural defence.
And as is happening, the likes of Arteta and Hudson Odoi who as healthy people recovered fairly quickly, have stronger bodily defences.

You also, as already said, cannot put a price on people's mental healthand physical health , which for so many is going to suffer in countries with total lockdown, that in itself will cause massive strain on health services going forward, which for me is why this is all so nonsensical.
Reported. I'd call out the ignorance, irresponsibility and unethical nature of your posts but being in a full suit 8 hours everyday in a Coronavirus ward is draining.

The virus maybe the enemy but, as a doctor, I consider you its allies. Maybe that's my professional bias but there..
Report closed, if you want to enlighten people then you need to explain things clearly so that the majority can understand. Simply calling them 'ignorant' serves no purpose whatsoever.

Wow. What on earth is this?
Perhaps our frontline medical workers require a little more respect?

you know how Brexit divided families and caused a lot of argument?

I fear corona could do similar.

Had a "debate" this morning about whether a family member should be allowed to visit. I forbade it. Was even handed a phone and told to listen to their argument first hand (which was pants, btw).

Within 2 minutes I was told I was 100% right, and all is now well, but I suspect the thin end of a wedge is nearing and next time might not be so simple.

Lower down is a story about Condom Factories in Far East kinda way being closed and a ridiculous drop in production....

But then there shouldn't be any ONS's for a fair while?

Has anyone wondered why people in the UK are being asked to stay 2 metres apart and not doing it? I just realised the government should be saying 6 feet apart not 2 metres. What was the point of Brexit if we still use metres?

A metre measures 3 foot 3,
It's longer than a yard you see

Non co-habiting couples can't meet so expect another baby boom spike 9 months after lockdown is lifted.

Some people have suggested imagining an ironing board between you but I was already using the tall bloke laying down imagery. Peter Crouch would be perfect for that (or is he over 6' 6"? I used to have a mate about his height who we said was 5'19"?)

This is worthy of debate, imo.

Post WW2, only two years have seen 1m+ births in UK: 1947 [hooray!] and 1964.

Rate has dropped generally since, with around 730,000 in last recorded year, 2018.
So, you'd have to go some...

I've almost finished Peter's first one and the second one is somewhere in the post. I've also read Cheer Up Peter Reid since becoming work from home. Fairly contrasting styles of play and writing. Need some more suggestions of autobiographies by footballers called Peter.

Why has no-one thought about getting Blue Peter to make one and let all the kids in the country follow the instructions? I remember the Blue Peter advent coat-hanger & also Tracy Island. I'm sure we've all got enough sticky-back plastic, cereal boxes and margarine tubs.
