It's a shame his (entirely appropriate) increase in popularity has effectively caused the demise of the Bugle podcast - the best satirical news show on the internet.

Fresh Meat- Season 4

Not sure how this will fare, I thought the movie would have killed it off and the end of the previous series is probably where it should have stopped.

Saw some of the first series of Cuckoo and it was abysmal (a talentless nerd with delusions of humour surely sneakily moved their egg into the comedy nest) so that is one to cross off your list. Even unfunnier than Fresh Meat which is some feat.

It was about all, for current output, that the obituaries for BBC3 (on TV) could come up with so that channel will not be missed on that basis.

The movie?

Think I watched (and enjoyed) the first two.
Think i fleeted with the third but can't really remember (which is telling I suppose).

Seems I'm in the minority on here in thinking JW IS funny.

Season 3 of Black Mirror is currently in production.

12 episodes I believe. They will be exclusive to Netflix.

Great news!

Ignore me, old age making me think of the other JW vehicle, Bad Education. I still think that this had already reached a natural conclusion. I'll still give it a go though.

Far from it I'm sure. He's had too much exposure of late but his character in this was so close to his real persona that it worked well and the rest of the cast are decent (from memory, Greg McHugh (Gary, Tank Commander), Zawe Ashton (lots of stuff), e&oe as above).

It is, but only bc I've got Netflix already. I'd be gutted if having paid £50 for Virgin that I'd have to fork out more in order to watch something that was previously on terrestrial. Sign of the times I guess and the added bonus is that we get 4 times the number of episodes (hope that doesn't turn out to be a negative if the originality is watered down).

Yeah, it's a slight concern - but all episodes have been written by Charlie Brooker, so I'm confident they'll be decent.

Better Call Saul Season 2.

Found the first episode a bit dull truth be told, but the first season also started slowly and there were enough snippets in there to suggest a gradual improvement this time around too.

Better Call Saul?

Returned to Netlix on Tuesday, with the second season to be shown in weekly instalments.

I think I must have misread some posts around the time. Looking back there were some comments expressing sadness at it coming to an end but I think this was just about the end of S1!

Embarrassingly I still haven't finished BB so don't intend on watching this yet. In March last year I posted to say I was embarking on S3 of BB so I've not done very well at all.

Yeah you'll probably want to watch all of Breaking Bad first. I mean, Better Call Saul probably is watchable in it's own right, but there are quite a lot of little cross references which probably aid the enjoyment of it a bit. Particularly in the slower parts, of which there are plenty.

I managed to miss the return of Heroes in 'Reborn' format last night but bearing in mind a) how far down the tube the original Heroes sank in later series and b) the fact they have already canned plans for a second series then it seems I made the right call.

Used to love the stand alone comedic episodes and tonight's was excellent.

"Mulder, the Internet is no good for you"

Brilliant.

A proper funny episode, not accidentally so but carefully crafted.

Just caught up with Better Call Saul, with episode 5. Very dull, unfortunately. In fact the whole series has been a bit of a disappointment for me so far, last weeks Mike episode aside. I'll keep watching, as I seem to remember the first season following a similar pattern, but it's more through a feeling of obligation and hope rather than enjoyment at the minute.

Line of Duty. Really enjoyed the first two series of this, and the third has got off to a similarly impressive start. Good stuff.

Not sure which thread this belongs in... but Six Feet Under is starting on Sky Atlantic this weekend from Episode 1.

I dare say its probably on a loop a la Sopranos and The Wire on Sky Atlantic? I just havent ever managed to catch it.
So a reminder/prompt for anybody like me that has never got round to watching it in the last 15 years!

Sky Atlantic 2:00am Sat 2 Apr
Season 1 Episode 1 of 13
