I think they’ve been repeating it from the start in the run-up to the new one.

Thinking they are currently showing series 2(?). All old series (5?) are on the iPlayer thing.

I only got into it a couple of series back, but went back and watched it all from the start a few months ago. With the BBC 6-episode format it’s not too much of a time commitment to binge, for anyone who’s never seen it.

Each series is quite self-contained so you can pick it up without having seen previous ones, but there are ongoing storyline threads that make more sense when you’ve seen it from the start.

I watched it from the start on iPlayer a little while ago as I'd not seen S5

No word on whether the whole season goes live then. I'd guess it will be old school and I prefer to be modern and binge watch so...

Roll on early May!

I think it’s because that is made by BBC America, so already released elsewhere ahead of UK (hence the 8x45 mins instead of 6x60 mins format, to allow for adverts...)

I quite like an “appointment viewing” series once in a while, though it’s clearly in decline... I mean, they’ve practically made the football season bingeable this year!

Has anyone heard of the sequel to the series "Lucifer"? Filming has stopped due to COVID and I don't see any updates.

Has anyone been watching Fargo? S4 I think it is.

Bit different this time as they have gone further back in time and moved from Fargo (to 50s Kansas City) and I'm not sure I'm enjoying it as much. About 4 episodes in. Largely being saved by the mad Irishwoman (played by an Andrew Lloyd Webber reality show loser - came second in some series to find a Nancy (Oliver)) but hard to know who are the good guys and who are the bad guys.

Watched it when it first came out would’ve given my opinion somewhere on here , can’t remember now tbh. Think from memory it was still decent but very different. Worth persevering with for the ending…….

Nothing new that’s decent imo lean times. I’m waiting for some new season returns but all delayed because of this pandemic thingy.

Yeah, there seemed a surprising amount of decent new stuff last year/early this year but the impact is definitely biting now. It’s become a case of coming up with old stuff I’ve never seen, and working my way through passable terrestrial TV crime dramas (in between the sport of course).

I don’t know what’s in the pipeline on any channel/streaming service. Apart from that submarine one on BBC with Martin Compston that has been “coming soon” since about March, according to the trailers.

Anyway, this is a “returning series” thread, just realised. Quite a few I could think of that I’m waiting for but most will be next year I suspect.

It’s not exactly a case of “don’t miss the return of” if you’re digging out something that’s been on generic streaming service for 10 years…

Yeah, same here… think I heard early ‘22. Trying to think what else… Peaky Blinders, Ozark, Billions (halted mid-series, all the best Damian), Succession, is Gangs of London recommissioned (were enough people left standing?) And the GoT prequel though doesn’t quite count as a return.

I remember that! Didn’t they poach Emlyn Hughes from QoS? Can’t remember who actually hosted it, but think I remember the theme tune
