There’s an amazing (completely bonkers) Greek film on NY Day, 23:45.

Dogtooth it’s crackers, but worth a watch if you like off the wall stuff.

8/10

Utterly revolting yet strangely engaging - maybe it's me :)
What a bonkers and shocking film that was

Took me three attempts to watch it cos the mrs kept coming in the room and was so appalled I had to turn it off 🤣

Is it a horror? Not a genre I’d normally gravitate towards, but despite the shocking subject I found it strangely engaging!!!

Worth a watch (unless you’re easily upset).

Ex-Machina is on tonight. A really good film IMO

Zimmerman wrote: 16 Sep 2016, 06:44 Found time to watch a couple of films yesterday.

Ex-Machina - loved this film. Big fan of Alex Garland (author of The Beach, Tessaeract and 28 Days Later) and I really like Alicia Vikander (Danish Girl and A Royal Affair). Well made film set at the right pace. A piece of me wonders if they went deep enough and it was all a bit too obvious (it's a film about creating a robot with AI... who happens to be female and very attractive). All said and done, I really liked it. 8/10

2 is a bit dated, and pretentious for me.

I can't remember if I've watched 4, but it is highly rated. But there are whacked and better films from the Far East, imho.

6 sounds familiar, ill have a look to see if I have it...

Yes to 6 and is very good.

I'll try and get hold of Castaway...

Parasite is available at end of November in 4k (Amazon are taking pre-orders) and I think it has a B\w version included which could be interesting.
