well we finally lost one of the true greats today. I guess he had a pretty good innings though.

Back in the days of limited channels and when sitting together as a family in front of the TV wasn't frowned upon.... this was legendary viewing.

I reckon the show (and his) status well outlived many of his peers from the time.

I want to say that it used to be on Sunday evenings (before Live at the Palladium or whatever was the big sunday night slot).

Was fantastic at the time.
