Was that not added as a joke? I don't think the unusual pleasure of this film centres on being surprised by the ending! :P

True...but still no fun if someone tells you the ending. They all end the same way with small variations though

There's also Sharktopus (just to add to the genre because I haven't seen it mentioned yet) - same kinda thing and that review someone posted several posts ago could have equally have been written for it.

Watching that now. (well it's on but not really watching)
They must trawl actors resumes to find the worst actors possible to work for the worst director. Unless it's a brilliant director who just makes the movie look so poor on purpose.

The one where a new born human baby turns into a hammerhead shark and kills people looks the one to watch!

Am totally new to all this - as I haven't seen the original sharknado, am not sure i'd be able to follow what was going on in sharknado 2.

You really don't need to see the first one. Both have a total lack of acting skills, awful special effects, a shallow story line and an America is brilliant approach.
It is unmissable stuff.

It has just become a cult movie because of how truly awful it is.
Sharknado received positive reviews. It currently has an 82% "fresh" score at Rotten Tomatoes with an average rating of 6.1/10 based on 17 reviews. The consensus states: "Proudly, shamelessly, and gloriously brainless, Sharknado redefines 'so bad it's good' for a new generation." Reviewer Mary McNamara, writing for the Los Angeles Times, mentioned that the plot holes are "the whole point of movies like this: fabulous in-home commentary. Often accompanied by the consumption of many alcoholic beverages." David Hinckley of the New York Daily News said "Sharknado is an hour and a half of your life that you'll never get back. And you won't want to."
