Diary of a Multi player

Post by aurora »

sort of, I've been playing the Daily European games for the last week or so, I'm just a single entrant atm, was wondering how much profit/loss the Multi's were winning/losing, so I followed one guy called Top since Friday 7th August (finished Top twice as well) and every day since then bar the PSG v Atalanta game which I missed, if anyone has the details of that game it'd be good if you could relay that here, tried to find it on some historical part of the site but couldn't.

Anyway, for anyone interested, here is the record of a Multi Player in the last 8 days (bar Wednesday)

Friday 7th August - €1020 outlay, 51 teams, won €200 in prizess = €820 LOSS
Saturday 8th August - €920 outlay, 46 teams, won €317 in prizes = €603 LOSS
Monday 10th August - €620 outlay, 31 teams, won €445 in prizes = €175LOSS
Tuesday 11th August - €840 outlay, 42 teams, won €1005 in prizes = €165 PROFIT
Wednesday 12th August - missed
Thursday 13th August - €1160 outlay, 58 teams, won €5682 in prizes = €4522 PROFIT
Friday 14th August - €1380 outlay, 69 teams, won €1875 in prizes = €495 PROFIT
Saturday 15th August - €1000 outlay, 50 teams, won €6575 in prizes = €5575 PROFIT

Total outlay: €6940

Total profit for 7 games in 8 days: €9,159 PROFIT

And of course it could be bigger with the PSG/Atalanta game. Let's round it of to a nice 10k.

Either way, not bad for a weeks work :D

The sample size is small and we would need to monitor his results over a much larger period, however, looks like he/she is doing very well

Does he only play the £20 games?

Does he bother with the smaller stakes games?

Sandor, funnily enough made a loss of €-6249.63 , a complete reverse of his seasonal fantasy returns

Admittedly that number will come down after the disastrous CL game

But can anybody beat it for now?

great site ffstuff, never heard of it before, would have saved me a lot of effort and time with the OP if I'd have known, least I don't have to update it now. people can just use that, what is the average score about and how's that calculated? not sure what ITM means either.

Interesting website in distinguishing between the fish and the sharks, although I imagine most of the daily games will have similar difficulty in terms of strength of the field.

That site is redic good....it reminds me of sharkscope in the poker world.

Considering my 19/20 seasonal loss and my CL loss I’m quite happy with my ROI in one sense as I have only played circa 500 games, though, the elite players seem to have positive ROI from the beginning of their graphs.

Wonder if that is just variance or if they are a ton better than me?

My ego is leaning towards variance because just like in poker one would expect to see a negative line when one first starts playing the game?

I’d imagine making money in these depends heavily on hitting big scores sporadically, much like MTTs. I would expect a similar level of variance although I haven’t played much myself.
