most crass decision yet!

well i was looking forward to playing around 10 teams in each of the europa kick offs with CL down to two fixtures per day and therefore a daft game needed in a 2-game slate.

so thought i would have a nice early look, so glad i haven't put any study into it yet!

they are playing a 4-player selection on a 7-game and 8-game slate!

are they trying to make it incredibly boring? i'd rather play a £20 win double than only have 4 decisions to make when there should be 11, this isn't fantasy football it's like a nonsense bet except you pay 10% instead of low single figures.

the degree of sheer daftness here outweighs anything the safety net and impact points have done!

so will i play? yeah if there is a really big overlay, otherwise i'll wait for the ice hockey later unless that only allows you to pick 4-players as well!

one of the craziest decisions i have ever seen in a short run comp to reduce a 7/8 game slate to the level of a 2-game slate!

Yep more nonsense. And makes no sense as the equivalent last week were ‘normal’ comps.

at least they haven't destroyed the 'weekly monster' yet!

they have also removed the popular 20 euro stake for the europa and gone with 5 & 50!

fantasy providers really leave you shaking your head at times!

absolute mindless stupidity simon, quite gobsmacking really!

on the plus side at least i have time to walk the quay and harbour today now ;)

an equally unimpressed rui says they are doing this with the portuguese league (which i wouldn't play anyway) and MLS, which i might have played with an XI player game.

will probably leave MLS this year or play draft kings after a few games in to the season.

stakes are too low for these and for me the spanish and italian leagues too although i can understand some being happy to play at 5 euros.

at some point if they manage to grow further i think more stake options would help and further down the line various different comps could be added in, but i can't personally see how wrecking larger slates and reducing well supported 20 euro games to 5 euro max is going to help growth.

the whole idea of 2-slate games is to create some interest, generate some turnover with at least something on offer, i have NEVER seen in all the time i have played a provider destroy a perfectly adequate slate to 2-game slate scoring!

from an enjoyment point of view with a single or 2-slate game you can watch your players even if it is a bit boring with not much action but here you might get 2x2 players meaning you have little scoring action and limited interest in your own game.

what's to like?

Yep prety boring.. Best would be 15 games 11 players one tournament

personally would just go 2 sets of 11 player games. problem with 15 games is the later teams will be unpredictable and not seen.

FYI anyone tuning in late.

50 euro game 20x a few seconds before so break even at least.

5 euro game 770 entries so run at a very small loss (i entered 8 or 9 i think)

people won't let a large overlay go but we are left with a really boring game, on the plus side (which may have been part of fanteam's reasoning) the game took no more than 15-20 minutes research and number crunching

i played a bit more in the 2nd slate which again pretty much filled the 50 euros and unsurprisingly did a bit better in the 5 euros, due to the time of day.

i will probably test it a bit more at the 2 & 5 euro level then dump it completely barring large overlays that i don't expect to see.

my thoughts are way too much luck with only 4 selection and a x2.

in 1 or 2 game slates i think it is a pretty good system.

in larger slates it reduces action and selections and is extremely poor, comparing exceptionally badly on last night's europa slates compared to the normal design used the previous week.

i really hope they only use it for 1/2 game slates in future and that we are not seeing the demise of the very popular 20 euro games.
