The Fanteam GW1 50k is guaranteed for the 20 euros entry game. There's also a 2 euro and a 200 euro entry game.

For the 20 euros entry game, currently only 1,250 entries (of max 2,777) meaning entrants have contributed 25,000 euros but prizes are guaranteed at 50,000 euros total and down to 188th place.

50k GTD with stacking penalty

It is an exciting day! We will play “full round” daily fantasy action for Premier League for the first time this season! It is starting at 16:00 CEST. If you played this kind of tournament with us before, there are a couple of new rules that you need to know about.

Unlimited number of players from the same club
Previously, there was a limit of 3 players from any given club. This limit has now been removed, so you can in theory play 11 players from the same club. Because of the budget, you will not be able to have 11 players from one of the top clubs though. Still, there is a lot more freedom now!

Stacking penalty for defensive players
Traditionally, fantasy football has always been about finding the best single players, but the last few seasons strategies like 3+3 - where you pick defensive players from only two clubs - have emerged. With the existing rules, it was a sensible strategy. However, we wanted to bring single player focus back, just as we are used to from the season game. For this reason, we created a new rule called “stacking penalty”.

So what are the consequences? In short, you should now try to avoid having as many as 3 defensive players from the same club. 1 or 2 will be great, it is entirely up to you. But more than that will reduce your chances of winning. With the new rule, the focus on offensive defenders like Doherty and Van Anholt will be bigger. In fact, you now can have a backline of Doherty, Van Anholt, Digne, Van Bissaka and Rose! Wouldn’t that be fun?

The new rule works as follows:

If you have more than 1 defensive player from the same club, and they get a clean sheet, each such player will get a stacking penalty

The penalty is 0 for the first player, -1 for the second player, -2 for the third player and -3 for the fourth player, -3 for the fifth player and -3 for the sixth player

It does not matter which order you add the players. When your team is ready, we will rank the players in question to find out which ones will get the smallest penalty. The order is decided this way: Captain > Vice Captain > Highest price > Last name.

In other words, if you have one of the defensive players as captain, he will get a penalty of 0 (no points).

The reward for clean sheet will still be 4 points

The penalty only concerns defensive players (defenders and keepers)

The penalty only applies to daily fantasy, not the season game

Not all DFS tournaments will have it. Tournaments will be marked with a “stacking penalty” icon in the lobby, and have a warning when you are creating your team that this is a tournament with this rule.


If you think the rule sounds complicated, it is simple to adhere to it. You need to restrict yourself to having only 1 or 2 defensive players from any given club. If you do that, you will be fine!
