FanTeam - FPL 2019/20 Game Rules

Post by admin »

Transfers
For season-long Premier league tournament there’s one free transfer allowed between each gameweek. If you don`t use your free transfer one week, you can do two free transfers the following week. It is not possible to save more than 1 transfer, and the maximum amount of free transfers is therefore 2. Additional transfers (more than one) will be penalized with four minus points each.

Before gameweek 1 starts there is no limit on the number of free transfers.

Price changes
Player prices can change when the season is ongoing. The price changes are based on how popular (in terms of transfers) a certain player is in the season game and can also be influenced by the form of the player. Maximum change (up or down) for a player is 0.1M per day, and 0.3M between gameweeks.

The price you see for a specific player is what it costs to buy him, and it is the amount you will receive when you sell him. There is no tax when you sell players, so the actual prize of the player when you sell him is the amount you will receive.

Wildcard
A wildcard is a tool that allows you to make unlimited transfers throughout a gameweek. An activated wildcard will remove all the penalty points from transfers previously made in the same gameweek.

There are two wild cards available for you in a season-long Premier league tournament, one that can be used from gameweek 2 to gameweek 18, and one from gameweek 19 to gameweek 38.

When you activate you wildcard you must remain within the budget for your team. Wildcard does not give you an unlimited budget.

Can I cancel my wildcard?

No. When you have activated your wildcard, and completed at least one transfer, you cannot cancel your wildcard. However, until you have confirmed one transfer after activating your wildcard, you can cancel it as previously stated.

Do I have to make all my transfers at the same time when I use my wildcard?

No. Once you have activated your wildcard you can make unlimited transfers until the start of the next gameweek, including any transfers you made before activating your wildcard.

Substitutes
You have to select four (4) substitutes in season-long Premier league tournament: three field players and a goalkeeper. Please note, that these are ordered in priority from left to right, meaning your primary substitute is the one on the farthest left.

If one or more players amongst your starters did not play in the match at all, the system will automatically substitute the non-playing player with the 1st available substitute. If your first substitute did not play, the system will move to your second substitute and try to substitute him.

Important! The substitutions will work only if the legal formation is kept. For example: If you’re playing in a 3-4-3 formation, and one of your defenders did not play, as well as your first substitute is a midfielder, the system will automatically prioritize to a legal formation, it will move to the second substitute and add a defender.

Team Roster
A fantasy team cannot include more than 3 players from the same team.

Late registration
In this tournament, users can register until the start of GW3, after that the late registration will be closed. While late regs can not earn player points for gameweeks that started before they entered, they will get a compensation equal to 70% of the average points other entries in the tournament have accumulated so far. Example: A user enters a team one hour after gameweek 2 started. His players will not earn points for gameweek 2; they will get to work in gameweek 3. Since the user is missing points from gameweek 1 and 2, we will give him a compensation, so it is possible (but not an advantage) to enter late. If the average points received in the tournament after 2 gameweeks was 150, this late entry will get a compensation of 0.70 x 150 = 105 points.

Satellites
The buy-in for the PL season game is €25. It is however possible to qualify through cheap satellites, running in many different leagues and sports. Entries to the season game won in satellites can not be exchanged for cash or sold, they have to be used by the same user who played the satellites.

€250,000 GTD
The guarantee for the season game 2019/20 is a record-breaking €250,000! Please note that the guarantee means that €250,000 will be paid out regardless of the number of entries. This is how all guarantees work on Fanteam.

The majority of the money (€209,000) will be paid out according to the standings at the end of the season, as follows.

P.S. I've confirmed with FanTeam that if a player in your team is sold to another EPL club and that means you then have 4 players from the same club then the system will work the same way as in the official FPL game in that you won’t be able to confirm changes to your team without balancing it back to max 3 players or team i.e. your 1st transfer has to be to remove one of those 4 players.
