Re: FanTeam - FPL game with 250,000 euros of prizes
For those thinking of entering another team before the start of GW3, the average points for the 1st 2 GWs was 126 and so 70% of that is 90.5.
There are currently 8,526 teams entered.
I did enter a new team at start of GW2 and, partly thanks to Pukki, am already ranked inside the top 6,000.

Ta, just updated my search manager function to include all those extra teams entered, I had only logged the original ones in at GW1admin wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 11:44 For those thinking of entering another team before the start of GW3, the average points for the 1st 2 GWs was 126 and so 70% of that is 90.5.

Re. price changes - am I correct to state that they’re happening within working hours (no evenings or overnight), although at different times between 8am to 6pm.
If that doesn’t point towards them being done manually, I don’t know what will ever convince you lot.

Martial should have risen whether they're basing it on points or ownership - Cujo transferred him into 100 teams!

Don’t forget that they’re not based in the UK so those times won’t be the actual times they did them. Add an hour I guess.ffstuff wrote:at a quick glanceAgent Overson wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 12:02 Re. price changes - am I correct to state that they’re happening within working hours (no evenings or overnight), although at different times between 8am to 6pm.

Exactly, great point! There is no algorithm, it’s when they can be arsed.BLOCKHEAD wrote:Martial should have risen whether they're basing it on points or ownership - Cujo transferred him into 100 teams!

where we can see the rises and falls instantly? without searching around in transfer market...ffstuff wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 12:15at a quick glanceAgent Overson wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 12:02 Re. price changes - am I correct to state that they’re happening within working hours (no evenings or overnight), although at different times between 8am to 6pm.

I have the fan players data table on my site that shows the last rise/fall time for a player, what it was, and also the total amount changed since the start.slapper wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 12:39where we can see the rises and falls instantly? without searching around in transfer market...ffstuff wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 12:15at a quick glanceAgent Overson wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 12:02 Re. price changes - am I correct to state that they’re happening within working hours (no evenings or overnight), although at different times between 8am to 6pm.

Re: FanTeam - FPL game with 250,000 euros of prizes
I think that the Adhoc changes may actually be a blessing in disguise as I was very concerned at the beginning of the season that players like Cujo and Sandor would be able to drive the market and drive certain players price changes simply as Block point out above by selling/buying 100 at a time.
Almost like short selling in the stock exchange and thus be able to manipulate the price change and market as the sample size of 8k teams is so small.
Worse, I worried (and still do) that a lot of these big hitters will be working in tandem and as part of a syndicate to work together to drive price changes...
It’s why I only entered 3 teams...also why I am employing a high risk strategy from the off.
Just feel that trying to compete with 100 cujo teams that can diversify into any team and cover a multitude of bases at any one time will be incredibly tough to beat with singular and just a handful of teams.
If you look at the top Hundo Cujo is like 84th-184th
It’s frightening really.
Look at last weeks weekly monster...poppadum won 4 top ten prizes including 3 of the top 4 and took like 8k out of it.
He/she may be working in isolation of course but if working as part of a larger syndicate then they will be incredibly tough to beat and thus may make the weekly totally unviable unless you want to enter lots of teams yourself or indeed work as a syndicate ourselves.
Think that has legs but know that most of you guys won’t do probably no point discussing that any further but still worth discussing how to counter these managers imop.

Has anyone noticed how soon teams are visible after transfers are made?

The current round teams are only available after the round has started - so if you make transfers now, no one can see them until the round has started on Friday @ 20:007lb claimer wrote: ↑21 Aug 2019, 17:00 Has anyone noticed how soon teams are visible after transfers are made?

More or less straight after the upcoming gameweek deadline I’d assume? Like FPL

Re: FanTeam - FPL game with 250,000 euros of prizes
You'd think that at least one of their 80 employees would have a spare 5 minutes to tweak a few prices to give us the impression it's all done automatically through an algorithm, but alas not.
@ ffstuff - Do you have the data to how many teams own a certain player at certain times? ie. how many owned Martial at the start, after GW1, after GW2 and now? It's these kind of figures compared to the players who have risen that will offer a better indication as to what the score is re. price changes.
Have FanTeam claimed to be using an algorithm? I'm sure I read that either on their site, on Twitter or possibly on the FantasyBet thread.

Re: FanTeam - FPL game with 250,000 euros of prizes
Mr Salah in my top team and Mr Augero in my 2nd best....
i think the Bournemouth game will be tight and the goals will come through Augero (hope i'm right) and fancy Mo to turn up and have an outstanding game against the Arsenal.
have covered the Kane option in my weekly...
Just so it doesn't hurt so bad if i get it wrong!
Happily write off my Weekly for more traction in the seasonal..Big thing i'm hoping for is Cleanies for Pool (who people are deserting like the plague) and for Citeh.
Both not unrealistic and again i have "insured " myself in the weekly against a BIG a Arsenal upset.
Whats more i will be out of the loop even more this weekend so may try and dodge the results until MOD...
Will be a great evenings watch!
Would wish you all the best Block but you know i would be lying

Some weird bug always have the vice-captain as scoring double points during the gameweek. Does that mean the leaderboard is false until the end of the week?

if your captain hasnt played yet they score your vice captain double - i think thats on purpose, so yes if your captain then plays, you then get his doubled and vice single only...means the leaderboards can swing abit
