Definitely worth entering a late team - glad I did it TBH. I'm already 2000 ish places above last place with 4 players still to play this gameweek. Only 75 points off leader which will be closed down with my 4 remaining players as he has none left to play. 😀

Even if you enter a team gameweek 3 you'll get 70% of the average score from game week 1 and 2. So definitely worth doing. Although I won't enter another team now as I'm happy with what I got.

Will post on here my ranking with my late entered team at the end of the gameweek as not much point at the moment with games still to play. I'm guessing Wolves v Man u is the last game or does the Villa v Everton game on friday class as this week too? :?:

Pukki increased 0.2 mil in value - good job I made my transfers last night.

Team value = 100.7 mil 8-)

Sick skills Block.

You must be right up there.

What position are you and how many left to play?

Biddles the game Monday night is the last for game week 2

You make a great sell for entering another late team....do you really get an average of 70% of gw1 and gw2 points?

Wonder what that equates to (appreciate we need to wait until tomorrow night first)

I entered 10 teams - currently have 6 in the top 1000.

Best is 170th with De Gea and Maguire to play tomorrow. Couple of others in the top 1000 have Rashford and Martial kicking about.

Your steep drop is partly down to Cujo who had all their teams move from approx 3000th to 184th this week. They nailed the Pukki transfer.

It really is amazing how much you can swing just in one game let along gw.

I was 198th last week, one game day later I was like 2;000

One game today, like 500th.

So guess the only thing I am unsure about now is can you reverse a transfer after you have made it (obv before the new GW starts)?

Ha!

So funny!

It is my first season....

40 plus hours is nothing imop.

Constantly learning and gaining experience.

I’m on a steep learning curve.

I’m a man with a plan though...

Watch this space.

I got this.

Technically, you can.

If you activate your wildcard.

No price rises for Lundstram, Ndidi or Mount today? Looks a bit odd considering all the price rises we saw for players who performed on Saturday - perhaps prices are manually adjusted rather than it being algorithmically driven :?

5901st out of 8471 entries with 115.5 points. Not setting the world alight but the team has a strong core of attacking players. Of the 15 man squad 14 are guaranteed starters and the 1 that isn’t started the first game of the season. So no need for silly substitutions. So having the first week of knowledge of starting lineups really did help in my opinion as I’m only 5.5 points behind my first entered team too. Although my first entered team is well set up for gameweek 3 so expect to see it rise a lot more than the average team this coming weekend.

We should keep a list of value players who are significantly cheaper on fanteam compared to their fpl price

I am around the 2000 position so in the top quartile with my solitary team. Tempted to put another one in but then decided to achieve a similar effect …

Have wildcarded.

Yes, I know … but I felt it in my bones.

He was already 5.1 on Sunday, must have gone up after starting the previous week at United. Either that or they quickly adjusted his price before the Chelsea game finished. Ricky will know as I think he brought him in on the wildcard.

FanTeam - FPL game with 250,000 euros of prizes

“Player prices rise and fall during the season based on form and in-game transfers”

Form? Chelsea lost 4-0, what form?

In-game transfers? Are we to believe there was a rush of managers transferring him in within less than 24 hours after a walloping?

Perhaps they should have worded it...

“Player prices rise and fall during the season based on form, in-game transfers or if we completely balls up a player’s initial price”

The player prices are clearly being done manually and randomly. Martial still at 7.5 despite 2 goals and I’m sure far more transfer activity because of that than Mount.

To be fair, the official FPL takes into account the ownership also somehow when considering when a certain player is about to rise in price. For example VVD would currently need ~394778 sales to drop in price whereas Tim Krul who is much less owned would only need 9714 sales to drop (both are near +-0.0% point now, and predictions though). I believe Mount was much less owned in the beginning than Martial. So theoretically it could explain why Mount rose in prise just after the ManU game when people saw there is a 5.1 starting Chelsea player in the market.

That's exactly what happened.

I study the price rises most evenings and can confirm as frank points out that the price rise was literally almost immediate.

I remember it frustrating me that I was too slow to get on the bus at the right price.

As another possible factor, perhaps one or two individual multi-team owning players could have an effect on player prices if they choose to make lots of transfers in or out of one player at a time? Not an issue on the FPl game with 6 million entrants, but surely a possible with only 8000 or so teams on fanteam, and several players each owning more than !% of those entries.
My first thoughts re how prices might be changed would be that fanteam would simply look at how FPL prices were moving and follow those (which is what I would have done if running the game), but am sure there's a chance that they are either manually changing prices ad hoc, or as i've just suggested there are individual entrants making trades which do have an effect on whatever formula has been set.
