Yeah I mean I know that, but deciding which players to pick seems totally impossible. Like, when do I pick Lukaku? He's not scoring right now, but maybe he will start? Is he a first round pick? Second round? Third round? What about Alli? Arnie is playing better right now, do I pick Arnie over Alli? And what about Mane and Sanchez? They are not scoring many points but they are capable of being top scorers from now on. And who is Chelsea's first choice striker? In a way removing the price restriction makes the game harder.

All I have is a top 7 list. After that it's a crapshot if you ask me.

And the other main difference from FPL is there's no such thing as a value player. Everyone is worth the same.

That's the beauty of draft :) A top seven list is good, although extending it to a top 20 list is probably wise. As for your other questions, the answer is, it depends. With the top picks you're picking for 10 weeks (or at least the first eight), with the later rounds (say 4th/5th defender and 5th mid) you can focus on the short-term.

An example, say I get the second spot in the draft and take Kane. By the time it gets back to me the choice between best available forward and best available midfielder is Vardy or Lukaku or Eriksen or Alli. If number 1 in the draft has taken Salah (quite likely) he/she will probably look to draft two forwards with picks two and three. So, even if I thought Eriksen/Alli were better picks than Vardy/Lukaku I should take a striker as it's quite likely neither will be on the table when it gets back to me and the 'best' available will be Wilson, whereas one of Eriksen/Alli should still be available and if they aren't someone like Mahrez, Mkhi, Pogba etc will be. You can have the best-laid plans, but will also have to wing it during the draft as it progresses.

So you need to be aware what your opponents are likely to do as well as the drop off in talent remaining in each position. With decisions like Chelsea's first choice striker, it depends on how much risk you want to take on. If we knew Giroud or Morata were the nailed on first choice they'd go in round two to three, as we don't know it's up to your judgement to decide at what point a Chelsea striker playing 65% of the available minutes (or whatever) is better than a Watford/Everton/Bournemouth striker who'll play 85%+ of the minutes. With draft you can always get five playing defenders and five playing mids so, if you miss out on the bigger nailed on strikers you can often take a risk with your third slot as you'll have bench cover.

For the first five to six rounds I'm really only interested in forwards/mids. Once they're out the way I'll look at the shape of my squad and what's left on the board and decide what to do next. It may be that taking De Gea or a top GK is a bigger priority than a fourth mid, or a top-tier defender is necessary because a few have already been taken. When it comes to defences, aside from outliers like Alonso, I tend to rank the big six in order of who I really want a defender from (form, fixtures, attacking ability the usual stuff) and figure out how many nailed defenders there are from each and go from there.

Anyway, that's quite rambly and might be of no help at all but that's the sort of factors I think about during draft.

I wouldn't say I'm particulary happy with my team, but the rest are not much better so who knows. There were no useful strikers available at the 6th pick so I went full 3-5-2.

My shortlist was:

1. Salah
2. Kane
3. Aguero
4. Hazard
5. Firmino
6. Sterling
7. KDB

I picked 6th and 7th and got Hazard and Sterling, which is good, but then Aubameyang, Vardy and Lukaku went before my next pick! So I just picked Mane.

They went one and two in Div 2. Then Firmino, Mane, Aguero, Lukaku in round one, Vardy, Aubameyang, Hazard, KDB, Sterling and Sánchez in round two and Eriksen, Jesus, Alli, Walcott, Mahrez and Giroud in round three.

I'm sure bs will provide them in the topic proper (or is it this one laready?)

you need to use the league code (the 2nd part of your join code)
in Mav's Draft summary tool

Div 1: https://ratemyteam.uk/Fiso/DraftLeague/
Div 2: https://ratemyteam.uk/Fiso/DraftLeague/249202
Div 3: https://ratemyteam.uk/Fiso/DraftLeague/249231
Div 4: https://ratemyteam.uk/Fiso/DraftLeague/

where you can see picks in draft order, (which you can also see in your own Draft Room selecting Drafted)
and full drafted teams at a glance (whcih you can see individually selecting them from the Drafted Teams droplist, always in your Draft Room)
(the Team IDs displayed in the standings table are puzzlingly incorrect.
The ones in the links are correct, they don't work yet because there was no event 27 for these leagues)

you'll be able to see your opponents teams from the League page, once the league has started
you can't see other leagues or their teams if you're not in them (afaik) if not with Mav's tool

you can copypaste the above table appending your league code, if you want

the above of course is just a summary and heads-up for those new to FPL Draft, all you experts knew that already

PS: if you had set up a Watch List to replace or guide you in the draft, it has now disappeared :o from the Draft Room ( Watchlist(0) ) but you can find it intact in the Transactions page (Watchist (XX) with the number of entries you had put in it)

mine went
Salah, Kane, KDB, Firmino, Sterling, Hazard with Kun 7th and Auba 11th,
as I had no time I entered verbatim the FFS points projections for GW 28-37
although I know they have strong prejudices for or against some players/teams whose projections are regularly and constantly pretty off the mark

did 0 work to rearrange the list, then ditched it completely during the Draft
as I had a gut feeling that a lot of VORP was in the top fwds whilst some decent mids could be still found in 3rd/4th round too,
I went for 2 fwds with first 2 picks

I hope I won't regret it, as my Mids are indeed a bit lukewarm
and having gone Firmino over Kun
if it all goes pear shaped, I know it will be the bad karma for having picked Walcott
I also picked Pickford as 2nd gk despite Chech and Courotins being long available, because he'll have a GW31 fixture to cover for Ederson
_____

if you want to correct your Draft before our leagues start, there will be a round of Waivers in reverse Draft order (thus gallus first in Div 3),
you can see its deadline reminded atop your Transaction page, that's friday, 24h hours before the GW deadline

there's a "Show Available" checkbox to help you filter those you can submit
I see for instanvce a Robertson no one wanted
you can file as many Waivers as you see fit
they'll be automatically processed in reverse draft order of precedence (then in reverse league standings once it had started)
after the waivers got processed you still have a 24h window where you can immediately pick all who's left, on a first come first served basis

I'm starting to think Sterling at 7 was a mistake. Lukaku+Arnie surely beats Sterling+Wilson

Scores so far in Week One...

Division One
H2H Feb 36 - 39 WouldULikeSomeToast?
H2H Feb (please change your team name to include your Fiso username!) has 5 to come off the bench, so has beaten Toastie, who only has 1 additional point. Neither has a player in Thursday's game.

Mobots 30 - 29 Ardrageen DIV1 S2

Mobots still has five to play, so should overcome Argrageen who has two. Although one of those is Aguero...

thebillfella's div1 23 - 31 DulltaForce-H2H-S2D1
Bill has 1 to come off the bench plus four to play. Dultaforce has two to play on Thursday. This could be close!

Division Two
Dino1980 Fiso Div2 34 - 22 bspittles S02D2
Dino has three Arsenal players (including two defenders) still to play. I have Aguero and Aubameyang (with 13 point Can on the bench should either not play). i haven't given up hope yet.

Robot season 2 36 - 28 Un-Tacing-Believable
Walker and Bellerin to come for Robot, Taca has B Silva.

TVT FisoS2 49 - 15 wahine-2/3

Still two to play for TVT, three Man City players for wahine.

Division Three
Blue Fire 36 - 19 wonkypenguin
5 points from the bench, plus two still to play for Blue Fire. Four players in action on Thursday for wonkypenguin.

S_sutton87 D3 H2H 34 - 23 Gallus United
Three still to play for S_sutton, including Aguero. Just one point off the bench for Gallus, with Sterling still to play.

MoSe FISO H2H S2Div3 26 - 42 morganb H2H-D3
One extra point for MoSe, plus Aubameyang. Three still to play for morganb.

Division Four
GregsEggs 31 - 30 Mav3rick Divisional
Just D Silva to play for Greg; Mkhitaryam and KdB for Mav3rick.

Albert_in a draft 31 - 42 Win Draft? NoWayJose
Albert has Sterling and Aguero to play; Jose has 2 to come from the bench. Could be another close one!

Cornelis Elander 29 - 33 Average
Cornelis (please change your team name to include your Fiso username!) has Ozil and Aubameyang to play - can they score enough to overhaul the mighty Averages?
