Yeah, was pleased to snaffle Mustafi, I only let Joccki get ahead of me last week in order to secure that.

Having held Coleman all season for when he comes back I have now let him go. But I don't feel happy without at least 2 injured players so I picked up Zaha instead. At least Pogba will have someone to chat with in the physio room.

Wouldn't DCL be a worthwhile striker punt, MoSe? Everton have great fixtures and he's playing too well to drop I think. Plus he's the only pace in the Everton attack.

Anyway, I got all 4 of my waivers so I don't need my FA pin this week. :D

Was about to say this. He might be my Chicharito replacement in Fantasy.

but what does RK think :?

MP
DCL     90 90 28 45 14
Sandro 76  0 62 45 24
the former has performed and also produced better, but still the bad one played 131min in last 3 games vs 97 by the better one....
without watching games, what should have I thought?

You don't need to worry about DCL MoSe.

Well, was just an idea, MoSe. I'd think twice before doing it in FPL. But in draft where you can make unlimited changes per week I'd think DCL a reasonable punt this week anyway, especially if you are struggling for a striker. He has been playing very well and I'd really be quite surprised if he didn't start this weekend.

Lots of changes on waivers this week.

  • MoSe got Fonte and Fernandez in for Keane and Jones, who will make useful additions to the waiver list in future weeks.
  • Joccki brought Mignolet (who I released last week) in for Elliot, who is another useful GK to have unattached.
  • Wahine put in a long list of waivers but unfortunately had Van Dijk 2nd pick which enabled me to snaffle him. She got Okazaki and Kanté in for Ayew and Fellaini. Okazaki looks a clever pick.
  • The Username brought Richarlison and Lallana in for Capoue and Chadli, beating me to Richarlison.
  • RNZ got Van Dijk and Lanzini in for Mendy and Kachunga. I'm hoping both of my new players will be starting games from GW8 at least. :P
Draft Leagues seem tighter, probably because no captaincy means less swing potential. MoSe is heading over the horizon a bit but there are only 18 points between the 5 managers following behind him; Joccki, wahine, TopMarx, PB and RNZ.

I checked their fixtures up until GW13, thinking I was managing my other Draft H2H Divisionals league, which ends then :o :(
once Jones begins his injury merrygoround, he might never be fully fit again for more than few games in a row
Keane is maybe out for a bit longer now, but had I properly thought season-long, I'd have maybe reconsidered...

well, it means it will be my turn to pick up your scraps when you'll bring in my dropped ones :P

Yeah, that's how draft works, especially with defenders. I have removed some great defenders so far - Mendy, Coleman, Mustafi, Daniels... All of those will be very good pick-ups for someone at some point. Well, not Mustafi; I already got him back myself.

A pleasing 10 points from Coutinho today leaves me on a score of 45 for the week. MoSe still looking fairly uncatchable though, as I continue to be hamstrung by my lack of prolific strikers (or at least ones who aren't injured).

GW8 Waivers

  • PB got Batsman in and blocked my first draft pick. 8-)
  • Joccki added Holebas for Hoedt in what looks like a longer-term move.
  • Wahine went Burnley crazy, bringing Tarkowski and Ward in for Stephens and Williams.
  • The Username brought Stanislas and Jones in for Klaessen and Baines. There are now some useful Everton defenders out there for a few weeks' time. :!:
  • RNZ added Bernardo Silva and Duffy for Carrillo and Mustafi (who seems to be in and out of my team like a yo-yo). :P
MoSe leads by 28 points but after snakzz' good week there are now only 32 points separating the next 7 teams.

GW9 Waivers & FTs

  • PB got Smalling in for Aurier; was a clever move which I missed completely (although PB would have had first pick anyway).
  • Catman brought Townsend and Moreno in for Ince and Blind.
  • RNZ added Dann for Duffy.
MoSe leads by 24 points after another good week where he had 7 players scoring 7+ points.

Oh I forgot all about doing the transactions, just went and changed a free agent midfielder - better late than never. Towmsend would have been a good one to get.

Bloody benched Batshuayi.

I thought he would start on the bench. I was right.
I thought he would have little impact against a strong Watford team if he came on. I was incredibly wrong.

Double Man Utd defence went great as well.

Another surge from MoSe this week, he now leads by 44 points with the rest of us toiling in his wake. Özil finally came good and when that happens it's game over.

Wahine made up a bit of ground on MoSe at least and is up into 3rd place now. :D

"surge" actually with an average 4th gw score in the league
IIRC I almost never got the best GW score

volunteers might check it here, I figure putting all our histories in a table

Ruth seems to be asleep at the wheel this week so I'll take the liberty of doing the preview myself.

  • MoSe didn't make any transfers this week, presumably because he's already running rings around the rest of us.
  • Ruth was so determined to get rid of Cresswell that he had no fewer than six defenders lined up to replace him (such is the rage that owning a West Ham defender will send you into ). He also got rid of Hart, thus purging his squad completely of West Ham "assets". Duffy and Gomes were the replacements. In addition, he drafted in Femenía for Naughton with his Free Agent transfer, an astute switch from a defender with ars to a defender with STK.
  • Wahine swapped Fernandinho for Doucouré. Watford have a nice three-game mini-run so this could be a clever move. Although Doucouré is nominally a defensive midfielder he's been popping up with goals this season (4 in 9 games).
  • Joccki replaced Rodriguez with Deeney, another manager hoping to take advantage of Watford's nice mini-run. Deeney has been in and out of the team this season and has only scored one goal (a penalty), but if he's won back his starting spot he could be an excellent pick.
  • The Username brought Hemed in for Sturridge.
I've been floating about aimlessly in mid-table for most of the season (for all my ridicule of Ruth's early Stoke-fixation, my team has turned out to be the Stoke of our Draft league), so I've resolved to have a bit of fun and gamble on a couple of switches every week. Bony  Diouf went well for me last week (although in playing Diouf I benched Batshuayi, so arguably it didn't go well at all), but I don't like Diouf's fixture this week, so in a classic piece of points-chasing I've swapped him for Brighton's Glenn Murray. 8-) Antonio is an injury doubt and West Ham are poor anyway, so I took him out and punted on Wijnaldum (two nice home games in his next three for the guy who only ever scores in home games).

I also did Batshuayi  Llorente with my Free Agent transfer.

Thanks, PB. Hopefully you noticed that my 2nd draft Cresswell replacement was Zouma. Not one to forget my roots. 8-)

Poor old MoSe is in hospital. Nothing life-threatening, just uncomfortable by the sound of it. If you walk into his ward in the middle of the night there is a pale, unearthly light in one corner - MoSe squinting at his phone and trying to sort the FISO divisionals out. That's how I imagine it anyway.

Actually, come to think of it, we should send flowers. I'll get the address and do that on behalf of the FISO crew. Anyone that wants to contribute can give €5 to a charity of their choice and we'll call it quits. :)

yeah thought his run and starting minutes was/would be over - how wrong I was
bliming Man City- dont ever try and out guess what hes thinking. I also bought Aguero in and captained him in the real game  and have the roller coaster that is De Bruyne as a differential, but then other FPL managers captained Jesus and that was worse than captaining Aguero so at lease I got my vice captain points.
I think it should be like Rugby Union teams out 2 days before the game. :D

GW10

Lots of similar scores this week with 8 of 10 teams in the 41-45 range. Only outliers were Joccki and myself; we seem to have been thrown off course, probably as a result of spending so long in MoSe's backwash. The man himself has "walked on" to a lead of more than 50 points. Anyone want to give him the game and start again?

Wahine is his nearest chaser now. You will find there is a lot of churn in that wake, Wahine.
