No no, I enjoy these updates. Keep up the good work! :D

No, I should have kept quiet because all the GW31 players I was hoping to get next week are now gone.

Ah.

I too was disappointed to see snakzz bringing in Schindler, as I was hoping to add him alongside Lössl and Zanka next week. Although a triple-up on the Huddersfield defence might have been a bit much!

I must confess though, I saw you had made a play for Pritchard this morning and thought I'd better move early to secure him, even though he has a bad fixture before his run of good ones. André Ayew will be no great loss to me anyway (I hope).

8-)

First time all season (I think) that I made no transfers and look what happens. Even managed to bench Pogba's 14 points like an idiot.
Maybe I have finally stumbled across a winning strategy. Do nothing.

17 points between the top four teams after 35 weeks. You can't say it hasn't been competitive. :)

PB has the record for waiver/FT transactions, 240 of them so far, an average of 7 per gameweek. That's going some!

If this were regular FPL I would have incurred 824 points worth of hits.

Good thing it's not regular FPL then, eh?

No, very different game, especially with a 10-team league. What has been great is how that spreads the net much wider than in vanilla FPL, I have had players do well for me in draft at various times that I'd never really consider in the standard game.

Mav3rick started a thread here for general feedback on the draft game, might be worth a read and/or a comment or two?

I've been 69'd by Ruth! Ahem, that is to say, Ruth finished 69 points ahead of me in the end.

Well done Ruth, you blew us away in the final few weeks. Personally I'm pretty pleased with my 2nd place finish after a long and arduous season where I struggled to get a recognised striker on the pitch (although Wood was a little gem for me for the final few weeks, or more accurately, a big, lumbering, Kiwi gem).

Playing Taca's leagues next year for money, so that should be fun. 8-)

And that meant you had 15-16-17p margin over your 3 chasers...
the 1p gap inbetween our pack became 22 and 21, with me in the middle
The gap from leader...

https://draft.premierleague.com/entry/28274/history
In 32 I still had +13. In 33 RNZ got to +15, the decisive leapfrog. In 34-35 we got the same points (with very different partials) and as he reported, the margin was still +15.
In last 3 gw I hadn't a particularly good score, with 132, but he got 208! :o
PB as runner-up got 156, gaining 24 on me but losing 52 on the runaway leader!
(if we averaged RNZ season, 1700/38*3=134.2 but of course this doesn't account for the DGW37, albeit it has less impact on draft)

For those who'll have the patience to still be around here in a week or two, I'll try to post something similar to what I did mid-season, hoping to highlight some trends.

I'd also like to verify how *actually* transactions have contributed to each team score and eventual scucces, altho I'm afraid that could turn out to be a lengthy research.
That's probably an area where I've been weak, but that's because I had the last pick in waivers almost all season long :P and when I spent my weekly 15 minutes looking at the FAs left, they all looked like a big punt and gamble to me, none promising more than the ones I already had...

What, you mean you weren't trembling with excitement at the prospect of snapping up Alex Iwobi or Mame Biram Diouf? :P

I had been several times on the verge of seriously considering Diouf...
I might even have had him some weeks, need to check

The trick is to get injured players before they come back. That's how I got Zaha and he has been a big contributor for me. And I have Diouf now, needed some Stoke to get me over the line.

Any analysis will be interesting, MoSe, thanks.

Yes, that strategy worked a treat for me with Ibrahimović.
