Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
Not working for me at the moment either.
Good to see some regulars starting to come back though.
I'll leave any decisions on the leagues until after any restart and see what fpl actually do. We've had 1 match so far and in theory, once the schedules are re-sorted there should still be 9 more to go with everyone playing each other twice, so If they roll back the game to GW30 and play through to GW38 again, or add on GW39-GW47 we should be ok (even if I have to do some weeks manually to get the opponents right.). Squads can be reformed using waivers and free-agency the same as they would be if there had been a transfer window in the middle of the season, so I don't really see different players being available now as a showstopper. Of course, if the game doesn't restart or fpl do something weird that isn't compatible with our leagues then, with only 1 game played, we'll just scrap this season and restart season 8 when 2020/21 (or whatever it is) starts.

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
Still no fixtures up on the Draft page of FPL. If they do get round to adding them, I gues we could carry on as normal, as all other games have ended 0-0. The only problem I can foresee is that we might not get to play each other twice, depends how the fixture rotation has worked.

Looks like my squad is sorted for GW30+ by just swapping some in from the bench
It will be interesting to see how the data is provided for the admin side of things but it looks OK atm.
Let the battle commence, Good luck all

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
I've emailed fpl towers to see if I can get an answer as to whether draft H2H leagues are going to restart or if they're regarded as finished.
In theory, if we can manage our teams and fpl work out the scores then I could work out the fixtures and results myself. The problem however would be with the waiver order as, without further fixtures, the order isn't going to change. This would be an unfair advantage/disadvantage for the remainder of the season as waiver order would each week would be determined solely on the result of the first match. I think if fpl don't provide any fixtures then we'd have no choice but to cancel Season 8.
We'll wait and see what happens anyway.

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
Hey TT,
Posted this in another thread too. We could set up another draft and have everyone select a 15 man watchlist, which is their current GW38 team. Then for the new league we'd ignore whatever fixtures they create and just use the GW30-38 fixtures from the original league. It'd take some admin on the part of you (or whoever wants to volunteer to do the admin).

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
Welcome back and thanks for the suggestion dino.
I'd been mulling over the possibility of doing that myself as well. The issues I can see with it are that we may not get everyone back to make up all the divisions as they were before and the waiver process still wouldn't be right as due to playing the fixtures in a different order, our standings would be different to the fpl standings. Still, if it turns out that the only alternative is to cancel the season then it may be worth giving it a go. I'll mull it over for another day or so while I wait for fpl towers to reply.

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
No word from fpl towers yet, but in the meantime could I get 5 volunteers to join this league for a little experiment please?
Join code: 862994-230765
I just want to check if the league generates fixtures for the new GWs in the way I think it will. There may be a way of getting the fixtures right so everyone plays each other twice including the week we've already played.
I'll delete the league afterwards so it doesn't use up a slot.
Thanks

Thanks guys, just need a couple more.
I don't need anyone to do anything other than join. I'll just run a random draft once we have six teams, check the fixtures it generates and then delete the league.

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
I've just had confirmation from fpl towers that H2H Draft Leagues have completed so we need to start new leagues to continue playing.
I'll pm everyone shortly with instructions on what we need to do to get restarted in a way as close to how we left it as possible.
First though, I need to get this test league run. 2 more entrants needed. Join code: 862994-230765

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
OK, as you're probably aware by now because of the way fpl have restarted the game we are going to have to create a new league in order to continue playing Season 8 of the Draft Divisionals.
As this competition is small leagues and short seasons I think it's important that we try and get the schedules correct so everyone plays each other twice. In order to do this we need the same admins who created the leagues last time to create them again this time and we also need all the other members of the league to join it in a specific order.
I have sent instructions to all of the league admins about how to set the league up and the order in which everyone needs to join. When it is your turn to join please do so as quickly as you can as the whole process will be held up until you do.
Anyone who joins out of order can remove themselves from the league and then join again.
After joining the league everyone needs to set up a watchlist with the same 15 players they had in their team when the league finished in GW29.
Once everyone has joined the league and set up their watchlists the draft date/time can be brought forward so everyone has time to check everything has worked ok. Nobody needs to be present for the drafts so timing shouldn't be an issue. I have set trades to 'admin veto' so that there is a mechanism for making corrections to teams if something goes wrong with the draft. Any trades for any other purposes should be vetoed by the admin.
The waiver order wont be correct as it will be randomized for the new league and subsequent rounds wont take into account the 1st match we have already played. I don't see any way of fixing this though that wont be overly complicated and practically impossible to enforce.
Many thanks for your cooperation with this process. I know it's a complete pain, but it's worth trying to get it right now or it will be messier for me to try and sort it out later in the season. Of course we wouldn't have to go through any of this if fpl towers had just paused the game by advancing the deadlines instead of rattling through the GWs without any fixtures.
If you have any questions or problems with any of it then give me a shout.
We'll see how the process goes over the next few days and reassess if trying to restart season 8 is viable after that.
Thanks again everyone.

Hi TT
Just one problem for me - that voluntary test draft we did has taken me up to me limit so can't enter any more teams as thing stand! Can you delete the league and then hopefully I can use my final credit?

Just try and sort it as best you all can. Sounds like it should be do-able though.
At least we've finally found a use for the administrator veto trade option.

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
There have been some queries about whether or not to allow changes to the team before GW30+ starts through waivers and free agency.
Waivers are a tricky one - there isn't a straightforward way of getting them completely right which is fair to everyone, so I'm tempted to say just play the game as normal from now on, including allowing setting up waivers and free agent signings for going into GW30+.
If individual divisions want to do something different though, such as no changes until GW31+ so waiver order is based on the merits of GW30+ results, or something more ambitious like a weekly manual waiver draft including GW29 results which you all then use to set up your waiver requests in the game, then I'm not going to object to that. Any such decisions though should have the unanimous consent of everyone in the division or stick with the default of playing the game as normal.

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
A quick recap on where I think we are at the moment:
Div 1: All set up and drafted. Maybe a little tidying up of squads needed.
Div2: Waiting on wonkypenguin to get going. Mr penguin has been around towards the end of last week, but not since we started this process. Hopefully he will return in time to get things set up.
Div 3: All done and dusted. Again, a little tidying up of squads needed.
Div 4: 4 In and 2 to go. Both fred1266 and S_sutton87 have been around so I'm hopeful we'll get this division sorted in time.
Div 5: I've lost track of what's going on here. blah said he'd set it up, but has gone quiet since - which is unlike blah.

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
Just a reminder that under my original instructions it's our GW29 squads which we're supposed to be setting our watchlist to, not GW38. I'm willing to offer some leniency for GW30, as an argument can be made that we were still playing when waiver requests were set up for that week, but any players picked up after that should really be returned to the pool as the spirit of what we're trying to do here is a restart from where play stopped.

Its going to be a problem resetting as the players now cant be transferred back once the draft has been done, so they would have to be done by Waiver, In our division TBF used GW32 and 33 and Marko (Tinkerman) made transfers in GW 32

Re: FISO H2H Draft Divisionals Season 8 Sign Up
Important Update
Having given it some thought overnight it actually makes a bit more sense to set up squads as they were in GW30 than GW29 as most would have set their waiver requests up that week, if they had intended to do any, and they would have been in the correct order following GW29, which the GW30+ waivers wont be.
So if those that have yet to draft could reset to GW30 and those that have already drafted can find some way to let everyone get their GW30 players back as soon as reasonably possible then I think that would be fair.
Apologies to everyone for not thinking of that sooner.
The most important thing is that we get as many divisions as we can up and running in some fashion though, so if this is too problematic then just stick with things as they are now.
