Important Update

Having given it some thought overnight it actually makes a bit more sense to set up squads as they were in GW30 than GW29 as most would have set their waiver requests up that week, if they had intended to do any, and they would have been in the correct order following GW29, which the GW30+ waivers wont be.

So if those that have yet to draft could reset to GW30 and those that have already drafted can find some way to let everyone get their GW30 players back as soon as reasonably possible then I think that would be fair.

Apologies to everyone for not thinking of that sooner.

The most important thing is that we get as many divisions as we can up and running in some fashion though, so if this is too problematic then just stick with things as they are now.

Hey TT, so if I'm reading the above correctly, then I'd have to effectively reverse any transfers I made in 31?

So I'd need to add: Maddison, Pukki, Coady, Foster and Aurier to my 15 player watchlist and draft them instead of Kane, Son, Digne, Kepa and Lindelof?

However, Foster and Abraham are fine as they were drafted in GW30.

Absolutely fine with that, just want to make sure I'm following the process correctly.

Div2: Waiting on wonkypenguin to get going. Mr penguin has been around towards the end of last week, but not since we started this process. Hopefully he will return in time to get things set up.

Another quick recap on what I think the state of play is:

Div 1: All set up, drafted and issues resolved as best they can be.

Div2: Set up and drafted. I've not heard of any problems so I'm assuming it all worked ok. The fixtures wont be correct, but everything will be alright for the first few GWs I'll have to make some manual adjustments to fixtures later in the season.

Div 3: All done and dusted. A few issues sorted to everyone's satisfaction as far as I'm aware.

Div 4: All done and drafted. A couple of issues, but I think we know what we're doing to resolve them now.

Div 5: League set up, but it's touch and go if we'll get everyone in. If this division falls then I'll have a look at the old league in the next few days to see if scores are still being calculated and stored somewhere. I might be able to salvage something if they are.


I'd like to thank everyone again for their patience and the spirit with which they approached trying to get this competition restarted. The odds were always against us getting everything right, but we've managed to get it pretty close. Thank you all.

Going forward are waivers just as per the partial league, or do we need to work out based on old+partial results and then just do them in sequence during the free agent period?

Just the first match (GW29) from the previous Season 8 will still count and will be added to the 9 results from this new league (matches 2-10; GWs 30+ to 38+) to make up a combined Season 8.

I'll try and post some tables up in the game thread over the next few days.
