TFF 4FD / FPL King of the Drafts Combo League

Further to discussions in the TFF Four Full Draft (4FD) League (viewtopic.php?f=136&t=125686&p=3087305#p3086816) this is a new thread for the FPL Draft League for the same members (see below) and the TFF 4FD / FPL Draft Combo League summary (similar to the main game TFF/FPL Combo League here but in draft format viewtopic.php?f=130&t=124906&p=3086419& ... o#p3069460).

The current members of the TFF 4FD for which this league is applicable ONLY are as follows (see thread above for latest list - BOTH indicates participation in this Combo League as well and TFF 4FD):

The rules will be similar to the similar to the main game TFF/FPL Combo League but obviously using the "draft" formats of the game (one-off official season long FPL draft and the unofficial TFF 4FD that Striker administers). In a similar ilk to the TFF 4FD, we have a 2nd FPL Draft in January, splitting our draft FPL season in two (FISO FPL 2FD Pt.1 and Pt.2).

We will take the scores up to our designated mid season half-way point (mid Jan) and then start a new FPL draft league for the second half of the season; adding together in this thread the first half season draft score with the scores from the second draft.

I have set up the FPL League (practice with official to follow) and will send out the codes to everyone who posts below. Please do not forward codes to each other or other players.

For my spreadsheets to work I need to know your team names in each league so once you join PLEASE POST YOUR TEAM NAMES ON THIS THREAD.

Rules
(1) You will enter a team into both competitions and then join the respective leagues set up by Striker (on TFF 4FD) and me (here). I will need a post on this thread from each member that contains their team names.
(2) The game rules and scoring set up by TFF and FPL will apply to your respective teams throughout the season.

Entry Deadline:
To be confirmed but likely for the official roughly around the same time as the TFF 4FD (during the international break) with first practice run provisionally proposed for 18:30pm on Thursday 24th August 2017 for those that haven't had a go of this FPL Draft format before
Any entries after the confirmed deadlines will not be entered into the competition and removed from the league.

Gameplay:
Each week your teams' scores will be combined into a Superleague that I will post on FISO weekly as far as I am able. Your TFF score will be factored up by 1.2 to equal out the scoring systems.
Gameweeks will be based on the FPL structure (see below).

Gameweeks:
The combined league will be posted after the final match is played and scores updated by TFF and FPL in each week.
Gameweeks will be based on the FPL GW rules - These are listed on the website.

Striker has suggested that, in a similar ilk to the TFF 4FD, we have a 2nd FPL Draft in January, splitting our draft FPL season in two.

Adding together in this thread the first half season draft score with the scores from the second draft. This will to some extent mitigate the problem of managers losing interest when they have a poor first draft, noting that the first draft league will continue to run until the end of the season as it cannot be deleted once started.

If it works out well and we continue a combo league, we could then NEXT season possibly follow our multi draft principle in both games and have four drafts in both games (noting max 10 leagues per person in FPL Draft so this might be too many for some?).

I've sent a message to FPL towers to query if we can start a new draft league in January and will let you know. Open to thoughts on this before we change anything...

You can choose to have your league's draft on any date that you like during the season. It does not have to take place before Gameweek 1.
Scoring will start the next Gameweek after the draft is complete.

That sounds promising as a single season long draft would be against the whole idea of the sister FFD game, with which it will be combined in the combo, when the manager who gets off to a great start in the FPL game with a decent chance of dominating that game all season would have a signifciant advantage over the managers who do well in the TFF comp.

All, not going to be able to be present for the practice draft tomorrow evening as real life footy getting in the way! Any objections moving it either to a lunchtime or to the same time on Thursday instead? I'll assume Thursday 18:30pm is OK unless anyone objects?

I've just had a look at the game and I can't see how you can compose a Watch List efficiently. OK it's clearly dead simple to compose a list initially and it's obviously easy to delete a player from your list. But, for example, how do you insert a player in your list, (other than at the end of your existing list).

Probably I'm being a bit dumb here. If not its a pain in the backside.

you can alter the WL Priority for a player by changing the number in the box on the left
e.g. you search for a player typing his name, you find him with Priority 137, but you know better and change it to 5

or you can drag/drop it using the... "dotted pad" handle nearby (with the mouse, don't think this works from mobile...)

Once the draft starts if you are not relying on your Watch List and are drafting manually, how do you know when it's your turn to draft. Or will the current countdown clock turn into something else one the draft commences?

you watch at the top
it counts down something like "your pick in 6 turns", 5, 4, 3, 2
then it says "you pick NEXT"
then it says "make your pick" and the seconds countdown bar turns to RED (it was green while not your turn)

(all the text off-the-top, so it might be slightly different)

Hopefully I will be manually drafting but will be travelling home at 1830 so will set up a watch list now. I've already done a Fpl draft before so understand the mechanics.

Thanks Mose for that clear explanation. Pity that there isn't a sentence like that either in the draft room or on the basic FPL help page.
