Official FISO Mini-Leagues 2012/13 SkySportsFF
I have created the following 2 fiso mini-leagues. One is free to enter and the other costs £5 to enter (with the entry fees going into a prize pool). Per the rules there are Mini-League prizes available for both (£2,500 for the free to enter and £5,000 for the £5 to enter) and if either or both of these prizes are won they will be distributed in full to the managers of the top 5 teams as set out below.
Free to enter - Private League:
League name:FISO Forum
Pin:8003772
If we are the winning Private League (based on the average of the top 5 teams) and win the £2,500 1st prize then I will distribute it (via bank transfer) as to £1,000 to the 1st placed team, £500 to the 2nd and 3rd teams and £250 to the 4th and 5th teams and the team managers will need to PM me with their bank details for me to action this.
£5 to enter - Private League +:
League name:FISO plus
Pin:8003796
Password: fiso
Prize Pool:£5.00 per team
Prize Split: 1st - 50%, 2nd - 25%, 3rd - 15%, 4th - 10%
If we are the winning Private League (based on the average of the top 5 teams) and win the £5,000 1st prize then I will distribute it (via bank transfer) as to £2,000 to the 1st placed team, £1,000 to the 2nd and 3rd teams and £500 to the 4th and 5th teams and the team managers will need to PM me with their bank details for me to action this. In addition Sky Bet will distribute the prize pool (based on £5 per team entry) to the top 4 teams based on the above prize split. I have chosen a £5 entry fee because this is the minimum deposit required by Sky Bet for which you will need an account to enter a team.
Note:
Per the rules, a team may participate in a maximum of 3 Private Leagues and in a maximum of 2 Private Leagues+. So one team can enter both of the above leagues (but would need to deposit £5 with SkyBet to enter the Private+ league).
The deadline to join either of FISO's Private Leagues is midnight on Sunday 30th September 2012. I am contacting SkySportsFF/GFM to find out how this can/will be enforced (e.g. changing the password for the £5 Private+ League).

Re: Official FISO Mini-Leagues 2012/13 SkySportsFF
Are there any rules regarding non FISOers entering?
If a lurker joins the league and wins will they be paid?
If a lurker joins the league, is winning and then joins FISO last minute will they be paid?

Re: Official FISO Mini-Leagues 2012/13 SkySportsFF
I haven't set any rule and it would be hard work to enforce it given this is a publicly viewable forum. But when the season is over if we have won some prize money I will ask the winning team managers to PM me with their bank details so I can distribute their share (which effectively means they will need to at least be a fiso member by then and have made a few forum posts activating their ability to send PMs).Dixon wrote:Are there any rules regarding non FISOers entering?

Re: Official FISO Mini-Leagues 2012/13 SkySportsFF
Thanks for clearing that up Chris.
If a lurker is in with a chance in March/April then there's nothing to stop them joining and posting 5 messages beforehand. Improves the numbers in the league and the chance of winning, which is always a bonus.

Re: Official FISO Mini-Leagues 2012/13 SkySportsFF
Haven't read the T&Cs as yet, but our issue in previous seasons with Sky had been that they distributed the ML winnings, not the chair of the league, a problem the season I chaired the league. This brought about the requirement to post name and team/ request league code.
Last season the prize did go to the chair to distribute so assuming this happens again for the season ahead then there is no need for the chair to do anything other than request pm contact from those in the top slots at the end of the season, if they aren't FISO members then how can anyone prove that a given team is theirs?

But if they join & there team makes the difference between winning & not winning then surely they deserve the money ?? Whether they are a poster or not ??Dixon wrote:Thanks for clearing that up Chris.

Re: Official FISO Mini-Leagues 2012/13 SkySportsFF
Agreed but as Chris said they'd have to be a poster (x5) to send a pm.
I guess having to post 5 times etc takes away the potential multi element. (maybe).

Personally not so bothered about the free to enter league, it's free after all.Vid wrote:Haven't read the T&Cs as yet, but our issue in previous seasons with Sky had been that they distributed the ML winnings, not the chair of the league, a problem the season I chaired the league. My concern was the Private+ league to be honest, which I believe Sky will distribute straight to the winners. If you can't determine who's in it or even how many teams they may have under different aliases, it's there to be abused. You are only supposed to get 2 teams in this game.
I have entered the Private+ league so i'm not wanting to sound ungrateful towards the chairman, but it doesn't sit too comfortably with me.

Their response is that their deadline to join or create a Private and Private+ mini league will be midnight on Sunday 30th September - so no-one will be able to add their team into a private league after that date.admin wrote: The deadline to join either of FISO's Private Leagues is midnight on Sunday 30th September 2012. I am contacting SkySportsFF/GFM to find out how this can/will be enforced (e.g. changing the password for the £5 Private+ League).

Re: Official FISO Mini-Leagues 2012/13 SkySportsFF
better still all the fiso people that are in this should be pm'd a pin number that then has to be quoted on the claiming of any winnings from admin surely that would make more sense...and stop people who have no right in entering from entering in the first place by taking the chance away of winning anything
