I was actually a little slow off the mark. I didn't realise they had made the draw earlier this afternoon.

Anyway, as the cat says, 5 weeks to study form (and then just pick any old selection the day before it all starts).

You win the right to put it on your FS record.

Alternatively, if anyone wants to put up a prize, I will happily donate a proportion of it to the winner, having taken a fair amount for myself in admin costs, running fees etc.

The actual answer is that in order to comply with various gaming laws as they stand round the world, the competition is just for fun. There is no entry fee & no prize money. (It also means that jnr can quite happily have a go)

Mad to enter so early.
What about the going?
Have the jockeys been named yet?
And how about injuries?
Some might not even get in if they don't have enough weight

Must adimt I don't know much about the course....are the fences big?

I can't ever remember anyone pulling out once the draw has been made.

There's always a first time, though.

I should have said that if you have any friends/colleagues that aren't FISO members, then they are quite at liberty to have a go at winning (but obviously they won't).

That is, of course, assuming that us sad people that live on FISO all day actually have any real life friends.

Nice to see he admits to having an imaginary wife

PS PM'd my entry earlier. I don't usually go for 'concept entries' but once I got the idea....

I wonder if your bumps are being seen by less people with members now able to manage which forums they see? I can imagine some of the more insular game players (FPLers) just viewing their threads on 'view new posts'.

Maybe admin or a nice Mod can give it a 3 day Global Announcement?

And hopefully you've got my team by PM from a few days ago.

Yes there was....and there is but this was made global until Saturday so it appears on all forums. For some reason the default location got changed when it was made global.
