I've updated the web-site & will do so now at the end of each day's play. With only 3 more matches to be finished in 5 days, I thought it was the least I could do.

Anyway, if a certain Mr Bagpuss wants to have a look at tonight's table, he will see that his main rival is some 546 points behind. It could still be very close when it all comes to an end.

Its looking ominous for Hendry. Could easily have been 5-1 up yesterday, but let Ronnie back in.

If Perry edges out Carter to meet Ronnie in the final, it really could come down to just a few points between me and my rival. I would say he's probably favourite at the moment though

I would say it's still a bit close to call. If Ronnie wins easily, say 16-8, he will get less points than if he scrapes through 16-14. Still not all over.

The gap grows to 415 at the top of the table. Can bagpuss turn it around, but will anybody stop Ronnie winning the title?

That's all folks. Congratulations go to Bagpuss for taking the FISO knockout cup, and for finishing 3rd in the overall competition.

Many thanks to all of those who've helped my competition by having a go, even if the scoring did seem a little strange at times.

I suppose it would have been better had the top players progressed further in the tournament. It was actually possible to pick all 4 semi-finalists in 1 entry (which nobody did). Before it started I imagined that people would choose 1 or 2 favourites and then have to balance this up with cheaper players. I never believed that 'lesser' players would progress so far in the tournament and that anyone would have more than 2 of the semi-finalists.

Anyway, I suppose that's why people love sport so much. There's no such thing as a dead cert, and it's not necessarily the best players/teams who always do the best. Just as in the FA Cup, if you'd let people pick any 4 teams that would be in the semi-finals, nobody would have got more than 1 right.

Thanks for the positive comments. Maybe next year, or maybe something a bit different. We'll see.
