Murray should be fine under the pressure he has proved before he is cool. He has a tough game against Tsonga though who is a very dangerous player. Think Murray Fed final and Murray should come out on top.

I bet a colleague he'd win that when he was 2-1 as he was convinced that Federer couldn't take it in 5 sets. I think that was Murray's main hope, even with the changed fortunes of both.

I still think he'll have enough to win... if he can get past Tsonga.

Murray in real trouble here, Tsonga is one of those streaky players who you never know when he will have one of those days where everything lands, but probably doesn't have the consistency to actually land a Slam title. If he takes this one then Federer-Raonic is effectively the final.

Must admit I turned the TV over to watch the last set, turned out it was the right choice although he'd already effectively won by the time I started watching.

I love watching JWT and it's true that on his day he's a beast but Murray's extra match fitness saw him through.

After Federer's game earlier it's hard to choose between them and if they both make it, it'll be quite the final.

I was terribly disappointed in Federer today. He should even at his age have the game to see off the limited canadian.

Murray will beat him, probably something like 2-4-2 in a one sided final in my opinion.

I wasn't atall surprised the Fed lost. His time is well and truly past and he should really be thinking about retiring.

When even with Novak out of the way you can't reach the final for a player of his caliber its time to call it a day.

Federer wasn't likely to win two matches going the full distance in three days at this stage in his career.

Murray's straight sets win might help to offset the age disadvantage he has over his final opponent... for once he has the pressure of being favourite though, first time in 11 Grand Slam finals. Raonic is an old fashioned grass court player, with a game built around a big serve, it certainly won't be easy.

Yeah, this is uncharted territory for him, everyone expects him to win and he's playing someone a few years younger who doesn't have a Slam title to his name. Complete role reversal to his previous 10 major finals. Anyone's guess how he will respond to that.

Will be very tough for Murray as it is first time he has ever been favourite in a Slam. Without Lendl I'd put all I had om him losing but Lendl will keep Murrays mental game on track and I think Murray will win.
Lendl and Murray just seem to gel and it is no coincidence that Murrays biggest titles have come when Lendl has been his coach.

Murray in straight sets. Easy. Predictable.

Well he had to work pretty hard for it, it's not as if it was 6-0 6-1 6-2... he only managed to break Raonic once and it was just the superior skill and experience of Murray at the key moments that swung it for him. Somewhat less stressful than watching him play Djokovic though, when you know he's always the underdog in the numerous long rallies.

By the law of averages he had to get a final against a lower ranked player some day, and thankfully he didn't screw it up! Pressure's off him now after a run of final defeats, three Slams (and 11 finals) pushes him towards the ranks of the greats and two or three more would certainly put him among them, despite playing in one of the toughest eras ever.

Nope, not at all for me. Actually he was better than I've seen him in forever. A chat with Sue Barker 5 minutes after you've won Wimbledon is always going to be awkward but seeing him with Will & Kate and Benedict C was the real Murray.

Seeing him so smiley and emotional is quite something.
