There have been similar occurrences in the past - a young Tim Henman hitting a ball girl in a doubles match at Wimbledon, and Nalbandian I think it was at Queens a few years ago kicking an advertising board which broke and injured a line judge. Both of them were disqualified.
While there was obviously no intent in any of these cases, if you tw*t a ball away in anger it's going to happen once in a while and you can have no complaints. At least it doesn't look like it changed the likely outcome tonight.
