England Grand Slam
First time in 13 years... it may have been a fairly ordinary tournament and nothing to scare the Southern Hemisphere big three (or is it four now...) but a great recovery after the World Cup debacle. Eddie Jones has resisted the temptation to rip it up and start again, but a seemingly unadventurous selection has paid dividends, with a good mix of veterans and youngsters holding their nerve. France put in their best showing of the tournament and indiscipline could have cost England but they produced something when it mattered. Hopefully it's not another false dawn and English rugby is back on the right track at last... good to see Dylan Hartley up and about to collect the trophy after the blow he took late on as well!

Rugby Union
Tour warm up game Eng v Wales - result 27-13
England's man of the match Big Joe Launchbury
Wales man of the match George Ford for some quite extraordinary placekicking brilliance
George kicked about as well as SL batted yesterday
I suppose the five tries to one win without some of their big stars ensures they travel to Australia with some confidence. Wales who were more or less full strength must be dreading New Zealand
