Have to agree re Toploader I hate them with a passion - even worse than 'Dancing' was their own track 'Achilles Heal'. Truly awful.

I also despise anything by Anastacia or Natasha Bedingfield. That 'Unwritten' song by Bedingfield makes me want to throw things at the TV when the Mrs is watching "The Hills". The lyrics are so terrible I had to look them up and paste them here:

This goes back to university. Used to go to "stewdunnt nights" and typically they'd play this near the end and people would get in a circle and kick their legs up and stuff. How dare they have fun in their early 20s.

Similar to the above and an example of something that could be full of meaning being completely superficial



Oasis - Champagne Supernova

Hod carriers from Manchester learn guitars, channel the Beatles, end up snorting kilos of cocaine and God it shows. Could have nominated most post-95 output.

Toploader - Dancing in the moonlight

Dreadful song and will forever be associated with a big tongued celebrity tw_at who does cooking.

Three songs I can immediately think of that - when they play on the radio - I have to turn over as I feel a wave of depression.

1: Oasis - Don't Look back in Anger. (Truly banal, emotionless vacuum of a song that seems to get an incredible amount of airplay).

2). Basement Jaxx - Where's your head at. (Arghhhhhhhhh).

3). Celine Dion - My Heart will go on. (Trying to think why I would be listening to a radio station that plays this....but either way I'm not a fan!)

As a Canadian I applaud the trashing of Celine Dion and if I could name a song by Justin Beiber I would certainly submit it. I have no idea what the dislike for Van Morrison comes from, however.
