7 years more cd's than records!

For no other reason whatsoever other than it being Friday I have just realised that I have been mostly buying compact discs for seven years longer than I mostly bought vinyl.

I did have a flirtation with tapes somewhere in the middle.

Well a quick bit of arithmetic makes me realise I have been buying CDs for about 65% of my life. Although these days those purchases are rarer than downloads. Shame.

7 years was probably about the time between my first record and first CD.

Remember that my first cd was Carters 101 damnations. Didn't actually own a CD player so had to go to Comet to buy one so I could play it

Got my first cd player as a pressie for passing my RMN state finals. First cd's (as there wasn't much choice) was 90125 by Yes and Look Sharp by Joe Jackson.
