Zoom has a 40m limit on meetings for the free plan

indeed, i've been finding this out - in usual times i would have been happy to pay for a premium service, but of course a/ there's no money coming in now, and b/ no way of guaranteeing i can get a reliable interweb signal here anyway. So looks as though it's workaround time for now!

Skype allows up to 50 people with no time limit.

Hmm, never been keen on skype as it wants to be on all the time and seemed to take up valuable processing space when i tried it before. Thinking i'll keep it simple for now, but thanks for taking an interest, first quiz might be up tomorrow, i'll post links here too!

And we're good, I'll be posting link to the next video and questions (picture and music rounds, today it's historical flags and tv theme music) in a couple of hours.

Thank you so much, has only been live a few minutes and you're in already! Looks like i might be kept busy - will be posting all answers, leading scores and a brief explanatory video tomorrow. You've already made my day (and you did exceptinally well on the music round).

Looks from early answers that the music was easy, and pics very hard, i'm sure will mix things around a bit for the next post, anyway awaiting more entries, bon chance ....

Lines open for entries until mid-afternoon, no need to be strict - i'll then set up another brief video cast and a page with answers etc., and then on to another selection for tomorrow.
Astonishingly, one of my agencies just sent through a request for a virtual quiz gig next week - i have already spoken to the potential client, this might just work. Even if it doesn't, it certainly cheered me up this morning!

A few more answers in than two days ago, better scores so far too - either people are getting smarter, or I made the questions a bit easier.

Ha, yes bluenosey you've top scored, videocast was already recorded and uploaded but i have amended the page to say that you're the winner, will be posted later today. Morgan won the first quiz on a tiebreak by virtue of being first entry in and still beating other scores.

I did have a couple of schoolboys help with the flags but the theme tunes were all my own work.

As you can see it was beginner's luck. As with you so it seems!
