I didn't actually realise that there was two look ups/attempts. Not sure how that would work for music anyway and with the pictures, presumably, you either know them or you don't...although I suppose you could google "Crucible"

In the spirit of things I'll just go with whatever comes into my head and treat it like a proper pub quiz :)

Yep. Only had the one attempt with no Googling involved, though I know there are ways to look up tunes and images.

Thought I'd finally give this a go and have played the quizcast for today but I can't find any questions. Is this because:

a) I am too stupid to find them and therefore shouldn't be allowed near a quiz, or
b) It is too early to get today's questions (trying to play quizcast for yesterday but it is buffering at the mo)
c) I am too late and they have been removed after the entry deadline?

If it is c) then it would nice to still be able to see them.

The latest questions are on quizcast mar26, follow the menu underneath the latest cast.

Am looking at remotely posting the casts on vimeo or youtube then linking across, should avoid the site getting bandwidth load issues - but am learning as i go along.

Ok have now created a youtube channel, tomorrow's video is already uploaded to the site and ready to for me to move it to top of the menu but after that i should be able to embed links to my vids hosted on youtube in future.

Even just a couple of weeks ago i wouldn't have known what any of my last two posts were talking about.

The buffering issues should now be sorted as videos are indeed from today hosted at youtube rather than on my site server in california (afaik).

Fiii -so ... and if you want it different, set up your own videocasts!

First two entries in already, this will run through tomorrow too as there are people getting teams together in australia and USA so i have to try to cater for the different time zones. I'll be setting up a proper scoreboard on the site soon too.

Funny I hadn't considered (but have just been reminded by a friend in the states) that i should post or announce a cut-off point for entries, so it's going to be 10am UK time two days after the qs are first posted, hence entries open for around 36 to 40 hours, i'll mention this in the cast tomorrow.

10am BST is closing date for the current quiz - remember the rounds are originally set for corporate and bar teams so yes it's tricky if you're by yourself - hence you can enter twice, once as "usual" without googling etc. and once more with some research and conferring with (virtual) team mates. i'll be posting scoreboards by tomorrow afternoon as well as another quizcast.

So (wiki says....), the Carly Simon song is about 3 blokes. Only one (Beatty) has been officially revealed by Carly Simon.

Only 1 verse was about Beatty but he is so vain he thinks the whole song is about him :P

She has also only ever denied it being about one person - the one I guessed at
