Forgot to make subs for (I think) the first time this season as I was too busy doing DFS lineups! Cost me 9 points. Lesson learned.

Quite chuffed with 153 so far this week, with Cech and Ozil still to play. Plus I could bring in Mertesacker at a cost of 7 points (I don't think so!)

@bspittles - great gw score! I wouldn't bring Mertesacker in either. The double game weeks are usually where I gain ground but this one hasn't gone to plan. Loaned out Kane for Martial, left Alli and Borini in my reserves, and brought in 3 Arsenal players who pretty much everyone else has too.

@dino - happens to us all. I often make my changes really early, before lineups are announced, as it's better than forgetting.

Need a bucketload from Mesut tonight to climb back up a bit.

Nice score bspittles. Leave Mert on the bench.

So I guess a few of us will be facing the decision of stick with Aguero's eight points or switch the captaincy to Kane. Feels to me like it's right on the tipping point as 8 = a goal and appearance points. Lower probably twist, higher probably stick.

I'm chasing in a couple of leagues so am leaning towards giving Kane a spin

Bump for end of season. Shame that neither Mo Bot nor I were able to mount a challenge for the overall win which looked hopeful at the turn of the year, but still looking to end on a high. How's your 11 likely to look this week (obviously depends on team news, but go on expected lineups for now)?

Here's mine:

Team news aside, think the only one I'm not sure on is Barkley, with Mahrez or even Ayew on recent form perhaps better options. Barkley has the fixture though so on him for now, but if lineup suggests he's in a deeper role I might make the change.

Yes, shame we fell away a bit. Most of my alternative transfers in (Henderson, Zouma, Doumbia) never worked out and no Payet was just a very bad oversight on my part. Loaning in Terry last week just about summed it all up.
I only have about 11 fit players for this week so it's easy enough to pick although it all depends on team news. Kane, Aguero and Lukaku all have good fixtures but Martial adds another option if he starts. I'll probably captain Aguero just because City need to win.

Wrap up of the season then. Well done Stuart for a pretty convincing win I. The end by 100 points from Alex. 15th overall.

I hope they bring it back next season - enjoy it immensely. Any improvements do people think? Spread transfers more?

Thanks Geoff. Mo Bot also had an excellent season but mustn't have joined the FISO league - he'd have been 2nd.

As for next season, I'll certainly play again and I'm not really sure I'd change much in terms of the game mechanics. I'd definitely like to see a payout structure which offers more prizes rather than the current £25k for 1st and nothing for 2nd though. I understand that they have to make some money, but collecting £119,185 in buy-ins and paying out £35k (£25k first prize plus 10 £1k monthly prizes) seems a bit much. DFS/Poker tournaments typically take a 10% cut (if that) and pay a decent percentage of the field, so I'd like to see UFPL try something similar and surely attract more entrants, when there's a more realistic chance of a prize at the end of it.

Friday night games will make a big difference next season. Each week will have 3 or 4 match days.

I'd like to see the number of transfers reduced at the start of the season.

Disappointed not to finish in the top 50 especially after leading in mid-January. The transfer window killed it for me. I can see why it's there but too many squad changes aren't necessary so I'd like to see it restricted to 6-10.

They were a bit gimmicky in FPL but the ability to play a 2-3-5 formation would have been handy at times. Bench boost or the ability to reverse a decision would add an element of gameplay. I'll be back for next season though.

Congrats Silkworm for winning the FISO league. I was runner up but had a frustrating season where I couldn't break into the top 50. I seemed to have the right players, but made a lot of the wrong choices in who to start and leave out frequently. Made a lot of loans to try to catch up, which probably had me break even in the end. This is by far my favourite game and I'll certainly play again, but I'd like to see the transfer windows change significantly. Firstly there are too many transfers allowed which homogenizes the squads, and there's too much time between them. I'd go for 4 transfer windows across the season with about 4-5 transfers per window.
