Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2012/13
First of all, many congratulations to PG for clinching the Tinkerman trophy for a second year running Trophy presentation (again featuring my PA, the lovely Judy) will take place at the end of the season.
Here's the table prior to last night's Everton cup tie.
Still very tight at the top - Hotpot remains in first place, but a good week for Jag means that the lead is down to three points.
Highest scores of the week (47) were from me and my fellow Spartan (in the alternative universe known as FPL 5AS) The Dude, while the lowest score of the week (just 15) was from Paulgrinny.

Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2012/13
The "tinkertastic" teams seem to have got their reward from their recent transfers this week, with the highest score of the week going to Paulgrinny with 79, while Robot's score of 74 sees him move up to third. Nathan also gets 74 this week which sees him rise to 9th place.
Meanwhile it can't get any closer at the top, with Jag and Hotpot tied after Jag's slight gain this week.

Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2012/13
Well, Hotpot's two transfers above haven't paid off just yet, with Ivanovic not playing yesterday and Cech earning a solitary point, but of course the replay means there's now another game to come. In fact Jag opens up a 10 point lead this week at the top, mainly thanks to Suarez (Hotpot has Ba instead).
Assuming everyone's posts here are up to date, Jag has 5 transfers left and Hotpot 4, and it remains very tight, with the only differentials between the top two being (Jag's players first each time):
Begovic-Cech
Shawcross-Ivanovic
Bale-Fellaini
Suarez-Ba
Top scores of the week however come from the other end of the table where Nathan gets 55 and ADK 54. This has left Ashers second bottom, ahead only of Skiffer, who gets the lowest score of the week and looks dead and buried.

Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2012/13
Egg Cup announcement
I have had a number of PMs from people complaining of non posting of transfers and keeping teams up to date. This is pretty much the only rule (see rule 4 below) of this competition, if you can't do it then why enter? It leads to friction on those that do post in a timely manner. I am aware there is always the possibility of personal reasons so I tend to tread carefully but enough is enough. I invest a lot of time and money into this competition for both my own and everyone else's enjoyment and I am happy to do so and continue to do so.
The rule states that non conformers will not be allowed to play in the leagues the next year, if this continues to the end of the season I will allow them to play next season but they will be play in League 3 and learn to play the game properly which I think is more than fair.
4. The egg competition is intended as a free to play open, friendly and fun competition. If everyone posts transfers as they should on a timely basis (same day or at the very least before the next scheduled kick off) then there will be no problems, everything will run smoothly. If you feel it will not be possible to do this then please think about whether this competition is for you as it is very frustrating for others who do comply to see others not. Only those that comply will be allowed to play in the leagues the following year.

So Jag (45 points this week) stays in front of Hotpot (50) but only just, with his lead being halved to just 5 points.
Highest score of the week (56) was from, ahem... me As a result I move past Robot (27) into third place. Third place is all we are playing for, as the top two remain well clear of everyone else.
Lowest score (14) was from ADK, which allows Ashers (49) to surge past him, leaving ADK one place off the bottom. The relegation scrap is also very clear cut - Skiffer is dead and buried, while the candidates for the other two relegation slots are ADK, Ashers, Nathan and the freefalling PaulG.
