No PVA. No Barkley. No chance??

1 Jason Murfitt murf's Eggcup mob 1920 - 8+2 (cup final)) players
2 Peter Clinch Zip's Egg Soldiers 1907 - 9+4 players
3 Paul Hopkins Happy Eggs 1906 - 9+3 players
4 JWJ Costain Top Banana Eggs XI 1903 - 10+4 players

Make it a PPG of 4 and you get
murf - 1960
Zip - 1959
HH - 1954
TopB - 1959

Make it a PPG of 5 and you get
murf - 1970
Zip - 1972
HH - 1966
TopB - 1973

Lets just say it is tight.....

Spurs concede. I need Man U game to never happen...

EDIT now Dawson concedes too. I'm doomed.

It looks as though HH is going to be a few points clear of me, with Murf's double Spurs defence being catastrophic. So really just a matter of Martial (HH) vs Smalling / Rooney for the last two games. More than a possibility that, should MU win the cup, one or more of these may not play in the final league game.

Also a chance for TB who has about the same number of points as me, with Smalling (whom HH doesn't have) and Martial (whom I don't have).

Lawks.

Edit: With Aguero assist, I think it's HH from TB, then Murf then me. Since I did this in my head, it might be all cobblers.

I might have a few possible KCs to move me up but think I am screwed for the overall win.

3 KCs for Sanchez. 6 in total for me (Dier KdB Aguero)

Hoppy leads from me by 9 points.

Unless Rashford gets 4 OGs or there is a hat trick for Lingard Smalling then it is game over.

Egg Cup Premier League 2015/16

Today has been great fun. Nailed my works SL, Saints in Europe and have somehow got to the top of this. Lack of MU will cost me I think. Great finish though well played everyone.

Well done HH. In my earlier ravings, I failed to anticipate the KCs of Sanchez - naturally in FPL, where I had him as captain, he received zero assists. I'm out of it now, and TB needs something miraculous to occur....

Cheers Zip, a few weeks ago I couldn't see past a Murf win but who could have foreseen the Spurs collapse! The Arsenal defence as I had hoped kept some cleanies and got some KCs and this kept me in it.

Will do another comparison table for the MU games, it ain't over yet think TB is still odds on IMO.

Week 41

In an incredible turn of events I retuned to the top with the week's best score of 77, luckyhappyhoppy, a 9 point lead over Murf who I have covered so the winner will be either myself, TB or Zip; table with differentials to come later. At the bottom a very closely fought battle sees just 9 points separate sjr (4 MU), Lucky7s (2 MU) and the Saint (2 MU) so sjr whilst 2nd bottom actually in best shape.

What he said ^^
Zip and I need Smalling to play and keep a clean sheet tomorrow - unlikely
Then same again in cup final, and for me, Lingard to outscore Rashford by 3 over the 2 games.

Long odds...but it has been a funny old season!

Well that couldn't have gone much worse!
Flicked on to the game just as Martial fed Lingard to shoot/deflect wide.
Standard 2points for my only hope then-destined to miss out on the podium even now

I'm not so sure it's all over just yet still big swings can be had, Rooney got 13 yesterday and with a clean sheet from Smalling that would be 20 which would be enough to get Zip top (back 19).

At the bottom Lucky7s made a great move up c/o Rooney and now looks favourite to avoid the drop.

Let's be honest - it's over..... TB and I needed a Smalling clean sheet yesterday....if that had happened, I would have given myself a slim chance.

Now I'm in the position, as a Palace supporter who is going on Saturday, of needing Rooney and Smalling to dominate the cup final. Think I'd settle for a podium place.

8-) But in all seriousness I can't believe I won this year, still trying to work out how! Zip took the runners up spot from Murf with Top Banana just behind in 4th.
At the bottom last year's champion is relegated and is joined in the Championship with sjr and the woolster.

Thanks everyone for playing and making this one of the most closely contested and enjoyable seasons.

Final Table

1 Paul Hopkins Happy Eggs 1972 20 103 1048

2 Peter Clinch Zip's Egg Soldiers 1956 28 109 1603
3 Jason Murfitt Murf's Eggcup Mob 1954 11 113 1697

Thank you HH for hosting and congrats on the win. If you ever see Chris Smalling buy him a pint yeah ;)

I'm delighted to end up in the top half of the table after where I've spent most of the season. Going to enjoy a summer off of footy now.
