Sakho off to ACN so more tinkering required. No Kane playing who was my original plan, so rather than sit on my hands until the weekend at least, I've gone misty eyed for Burnley's 3 home fixtures in a row and fancy them for a cup upset tonight, cue a 4-0 win for Spurs

Foster
Rangel
Caulker
Coleman
Sterling
Hazard
Siggi
Fabregas
Sakho  Barnes
Rooney
Costa

Transfers remaining = 12
Team cost = £49m

Pre season & subsequent transfers
Shaw 3.9  Van Aarnholt 2.2 - frees up cash & good attacking full back
Januzaj 3.9  Mata 5.1 - all aboard the Mata bandwagon
1. Lallana  Siggy - Lallana injured, Siggy looks good
2. Nasri  Hazard - never liked Nasri and think Haz & Fab will rake in points
3. Mata  Ramsey - lost patience with Utd so getting in form man Ramsey
4. Dzeko  Adebayor - not convinced by Dzeko, hoping Ade does better
5. Rodwell  Lamela -can't see Rodwell being any cop long term, punt on Erik
6. Demichelis  Lovren - upgrade & cash raising to fund the following...
7. Sturridge  Aguero - Sturridge injured, Aguero just about to start firing, or get injured, one or the other.
8. Ramsey  Tadic - injury, and cash raising for pending Adebayor upgrade
9. Lamela  Moses, frustrated by a Lamela's poor TFF returns I've gone for a streaky sick note.
10. Adebayor  RVP had to get rid of barn door (as in could'nt hit one), wanted Falcao but he was benched so went for RVP instead, which I regret already.
11.PvA  Caulker, Injury.
12.RVP  Costa. Should have done this earlier and gave vital extra pennies for above transfer.
13.Moses  Rangel, injury

18. Sakho  Barnes, Sakho off to ACN, and Barnes helps raise dosh

No transfers by anyone for over 2 weeks? Is everyone recording theirs in here?, does'nt seem like it. :?

Anyway my team is shot to pieces and going nowhere fast. 8 of the 11 are already out of the Cup so I frankly don't know where to start, I'm regretting the Barnes transfer already but I need to get rid of Caulker and Siggy first, and with Arsenal's good run I thought I'd take a punt on Cazorla, to fund it I've gone for PVA

Off out on a bike ride in a minute and Arsenal playing last today so I won't see team news. I hope yesterday will scare Arsene into fielding a strong 11, but knowing him I doubt it.

Foster
Rangel
Caulker  PVA

Gone Arsenal heavy due to desperation and the general lack of interest in this league.

Echo what Muldoon has said. Not enough managers doing what they should be doing and posting their team changes. :(

Going to be out of trannies by March at this rate. Costa ban forces action, want Aguero, can't afford a straight swap so Coleman is the fall guy. Everton have been woeful so easy decision to make. I've put in Bertrand, something I should have done over 20 weeks ago, better late then never. Leaves a bit of cash left over for the forthcoming and inevitable Barnes  somebody?

Re: The Egg Cup League 2 2014/15

Post by muldoon »

This league is a shambles, poor show. I've neglected my team recently as it seems most don't post their updates, if they've posted at all. I realised I need to get rid of Foster so in a sense of misguided duty I thought I may aswell continue p**sing in the wind and continue to post. I thought I'd have a quick look at how bad it is, result: BAD.

Of those that have updated this thread at all since September, only 3 teams are up to date from what I can see, myself, Maldini and UPS egg chasers, and UPS has'nt done any transfers since 3rd October . Fair play to TBF's Chuckie Egg as he has romped this league and has only 1 transfer not declared, which may have been been this weekend so benefit of the doubt there. But most others teams are out by more than 1, some by up to 6 or 7.

AKNEL and Hayesag have been doing updates but I can't tell which are their teams in our superleague :?: Alchemist posts occassionally but in a format which means I can't tell what his team is.

I guess I should be embarrassed I still can't get in top 4  Lack of updates has been noted in this thread before but clearly has'nt improved. *engage football manager mode* We've done nothing to give the impression lower league fantasy football is worthy of note, but mostly you've just let yourself down m'kay

I've only got 2 TFF teams but this has been a let down, so I'll probably just go back to being a single entrant next year. Rant over.

As an aside I can't figure out what to make of Macaulys points following yesterdays case of mistaken identity. He was mistakenly sent off so will get the ban overturned, but should get a part cleany, I think :D . He is showing at 1 point for me for the week, which is better than if he'd stayed on the pitch I guess, but I can't figure out how they make it 1 point :?: :?

I agree Muldoon.

If managers aren't going to abide by the (simple) rules then don't enter a team. It's been a total shambles and I lost interest months ago. It's a great concept but half the fun is in the declaring/reasoning of transfers throughout the season.

I'll play again next season and just hope we get managers that can dedicate 5 minutes per weekend to what is a good side game.

I'm afraid this has always been a problem. People start with good intentions then lose interest when they're not doing well.

It's a fun free to play side game so I don't want to make too much of it but it's very annoying and I hear your frustration. Let's see where we are at the end of the season.

A couple more subs for me this morning + Muldoon's blast reminded me I had four others to update. TBH the reasoning on these subs is always fairly obvious and it is an 'open' league - being walked away with by TBF - but apologies anyway. Unless most are doing it there is a certain feeling of whats the point - and the whole thing is self feeding.

Howard  Courtois
Coleman :arrow:Bertrand  Blind - 3rd feb - reasonable transfer based on an end to the Soton run of form
Demichelis  Dier  Chambers  Cresswell
Shaw  Debuchy  Rojo  Coleman
Fabregas  Di Maria -3rd Feb - Fab had to go but wrong choice  Lovren- 4th Mar - another bad choice  Moreno (this morning) extra games
Lallana  Mata  Lamela  Oscar  Sterling
Januzaj  Siggy  Downing
Rodwell  Tadic  Barkley :arrow:Hazard
Sturridge  Aguero  Rooney  Aguero  Sturridge (this morning) extra games
Dzeko  Adebayor  Pelle  Rooney - 4th Mar (soton finished & Utd still in the cup)
Nasri  Rooney  Costa  Kane

Now just 1 left & 0.1m[/quote]

Nasri  Rooney  Costa  Kane (30/11)
As a footnote since I posted my Kane purchase in December - 3 others have posted him yet only 2 teams don't have him - meaning half a dozen haven't posted his transfer (along with a shed load of others of course !)

So yes its a shambles muldoon
