Better uses for the 'profanity' filter.....

Post by murf »

Can we not use the profanity filter to correct (annoying) spelling of words and names. Some are deliberate and some just wrong.

Examples:

Hyppia  Hyypia
Boswinga  Bosingwa
defence  Defence
Arsehavin  Arshavin
Murf  murf

This isn't a high-horse rant before you all get pernickety and find examples in my posts like fake to Ronaldo!

He has the full support of the board  Out on ear as soon as we have a replacement lined up

He's a world class player who's earned his place  we are in a desperate position with regard injuries

He does it all the time in training  It was actually an intended pass

Surely the most mis-spelled name on any Football Forum is, Ablongo..., Abgonha..., Ablghlon.... The guy that plays up front for Aston Villa. :D

Ps. The easiest must be Jo.

A couple of years ago there was a guy called - 'Thankgod Amaefule'. He played up front for PAOK. I am not not extracting the urine with this one 'cause here he is.

Anything about football history or football records that contains the phrase since the start of the Premiership should be edited out and replaced with the word poo.

Well I guess the over-use of such records is largely because comparing with things that happened 100 years ago is meaningless, it wasn't the same game. It's just a convenient timeframe to look at. Although if it's Sky quoting the stats then maybe it is them wanting everyone to believe football started in 1992...

Murf, you racist - that's how you spell the word where i live. Plus if I try to spell in olde english the spell checker covers my posts with red underlining which gives me uncomfortable flashbacks to when I was in high school (junior school) ;)
