If you've played the board game then there's not a lot of difference, just virtual dice. It's a fairly big map for just 4 players so battle shouldn't commence too quickly.

Depends on how often people log on to make their move, could be a couple of days or a couple of weeks. Waiting for a move is the main factor in entering yet more games and still waiting for others to play

Spoils - when you get a territory you get a "spoil" - a card if you ever played risk. Ret 3 of them and you can hand them in to et extra troops.
