Christmas Sporcle Challenge 2017 & 2018 (for 2019 - look for new thread)

We are back for 2017 I'm sort of half running it with, hopefully, a lot of help from you.....

We will take it in turns to set a sporcle quiz from the main site (see rota below to sign up). We will do F1 style points for top 10 each day (25-18-15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1).

New quiz to be set each morning with a strict deadlineo 24 hours after the setting of a quiz. If someone need to set it early (before midnight) then it can run til the next midnight. Each volunteer to set the quiz and announce the results where possible. I'll update the scoreboard when I am around (not necessarily every day). Quizzes to normally be set and posted by 9am if possible please - OK today is very late but I wanted to get 12 days in so am setting it even though I'm late!

Just do the quiz and announce your score from your first go. Be honest, no pausing, no restarts etc etc.

Sorry that one is a bit Brit-centric (I deliberately did a search when choosing to avoid the US-centric quizzes!) but thought somebody from overseas clued up on that aspect of British culture could easily have had as good (if not miles better) a go as any Brit for whom that isn't a specialist topic.

Hopefully with a range of setters we should get a range of subjects and styles without getting as specialised as UK service stations or obscure cycling race winners (get that in early before unc sets tomorrow!)

To explain why this really wasn't for me (spoiler about the topic (not really sure if spoiling topic really matters as while as we are not talking about particular questions and answers, but ok)):
I actually know about half of the TV series that were mentioned and most characters too, given that I have seen all the episodes for some of them. I just haven't paid too much attention to who is playing who (don't remember names).

Not a good start - quite a number of them I had never seen so had no idea, plus I was half way through before I realised that having two consecutive guesses at the same one meant you had two wrong immediately - didn't notice that the question auto changed after a wrong guess
