You too mate - now if you can just make a FPL side-game similar to this, I might actually have a chance of succeeding!Moist von Lipwig wrote:That's the spirit. GL

Re: World Cup Knockout
Stuboy, have you ever played the 'survivor' games? This one is the closest to WC Knockout:stuboy wrote:You too mate - now if you can just make a FPL side-game similar to this, I might actually have a chance of succeeding!Moist von Lipwig wrote:That's the spirit. GL

Re: World Cup Knockout
Well done to Moist von Lipwig who takes the title with a comprehensive Dutch win in the third place match! Who says that game is meaningless...
Thanks all for taking part!

Any possibility of something similar for this World Cup?

Re: World Cup Knockout
I was thinking about running a comp along the lines of my biannual African Nations Cup comp but I don't think I can guarantee I will have the time to do the necessary regular updates. If you (or anyone) wants to steal that concept and run with it then feel free - I'll even enter

Re: World Cup Knockout
I wanted to ask about it too, but I think it might be quite heavy to run it, given that compared to AFCON in World Cup we have about 3 fixtures each day in group stage throughout the day instead of just 2 games in the evening. That means predicting more games in smaller time period. Given that I am not sure if I will be around for every day of the Cup and because I am already running another comp, I'll decline.murf wrote: ↑04 Jun 2018, 11:10I was thinking about running a comp along the lines of my biannual African Nations Cup comp but I don't think I can guarantee I will have the time to do the necessary regular updates. This version though here (that forestfan organized last World Cup) seems better as you do not have to update it as often

Re: World Cup Knockout
This is basically the same thing isn't it? (along with Loser and Clean Sheet variations)

I'd have happily run this again but no point having two pretty much identical games.
