Fantasy World Matchplay (at least 448 GBP in prizes)

On Saturday July the 18th we will see the top darts players compete in the what is seen by many as the most important title after the World Championship: The World Matchplay. There is a prize fund of 700,000 pound and 150,000 pound for the winner. This amount went a year ago to Rob Cross who beat Michael Smith in the final 18-13.

For this 27th staging of the event, Michael van Gerwen is still favourite but by no means a sure fire winner as recent years have shown. The difference between the top players is getting smaller and smaller with World Champion Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price and Nathan Aspinall all emerging major challengers. In addition, it will be played behind closed doors, which means similar to the ProTour it will give some players less pressure and better chance to perform. So the ingredients are there for an exciting tournament.

After a successful first edition, the Road to Ally Pally is back in 2020. With more tickets and a higher prize pool (£6,267.57). In total there are now 29 qualification opportunities to qualify for the final game. The World Championship at Alexandra Palace will ultimately determine who will be the winner and who could claim £2,238.42.

The game will cost £4.48 per team and there will be 5 tickets to win for the End Game of the Road to Ally Pally. One ticket entitles you to make one team in the End Game of the Road to Ally Pally.
